Hi Li:

A Nikkormat FT in nice condition might be worth as much as $100 USD today, but it would be hard to sell one for that much. The lenses might increase that amount a little bit, depending on what they are.

Hi Lance:

If there is an International Law prohibiting the manufacture and sale of 35mm film after 2011, I haven't gotten the memo. Having said that, the demise of the format within the remaining 50+ years of your lifetime is certainly possible... like all other fields of commerce, it all depends on how many people continue to buy the product. I expect to see it fade from some of the traditional big names, and hang on longer on a smaller scale with manufacturers in eastern Europe and possibly Asia. For how long? I'm hoping it will hold on for MY lifetime, but I'm 20 years older than you and probably somewhat less virile.

Hello, I just received a virtually brand new Nikkormat EL from a relative who bought it, now get this, BRAND NEW in 1973 and then forgot that he had it. The thing is beautiful and I really like it. I am a novice at this, and have a cheap digital camera, but really like this analog one. My question is this: I am afraid to get too attached to it because a co-worker told me that 35 mm film will not be made after 2011. I know this is BS but is there chance of this format going away for ever more in my lifetime? I am 35, very virile, healthy and have lots of testosterone in my bloodstream. Any response you can afford shall be most appreciated.

Semper Fidelis.

Hi James:

The Kodaks are no longer practical cameras for use, but the OM-1 and Nikkormat are professional quality cameras that would be useful tools for anyone who is shooting 35mm film. I would guess the value of each of these two cameras in the neighborhood of $100 (USD)

I have recently discovered some old cameras and lenses in my house and am looking to get rid of them.

I was wondering would they be any good to anyone. Perhaps you could advise me…

They are as follows:

Camera: Kodak instamatic 133

Camera: Olympus OM-1, with manual

Camera: Kodak Brownie 127, Dakon lens with manual

Camera: Nikon Nikkormat FT4666198 “F”

Lens: Nikkor-Auto 3.5cm F:2.8

Lens: Bellows focusing attachment Model II for F with instructions

Lens: Nikkor-Auto 13.5cm F:3.5

Thank you in advance,

James

P.S. I can send you along some pictures if it helps
