I have a Nikomat FT that was bought for me new by my father in 1971 when he was in Japan. I have a couple lenses for it, but I want to buy others. I look at different sites and I am confused by the terms they use. I see AF, AI, AIS, ATX and there was one listed as AIS/FM/FE/FG. Can someone help me with this. I don't want to buy a lens that's incompatable with my camera. - BTW - It's a great camera and I wouldn't trade it for anything!3. From : Rayna (hsbrwneydangel@aol.com)

Hi all,
what a great site! have to agree with Jim as I just pulled the Fathers FTn out of the cupboard and it had no manual, I'm new to photography and this site helped me out heaps!!
Can anyone help me?
Using the DOP button changes the meter reading, is this new reading more accurate as it is metering the light through the aperture in use? Any help would be much appreciated.
What great camreras, who ever said 'plastic fantastic'?7. From : Jim Crosiar (jcrosiar@columbus.rr.com)

I will start by saying that this site is a wonder. I purchased a Nikon EL2 without a manual and this answered all my questions except one. Where is the battery and how do I replace it? Thanking you in advance for your assistance,

For some reason I can't seem to find a factory repair manual for my Nikkormat FT2. There was one on Ebay recently, but I wasn't able to come up with the winning bid. Can anyone help me locate this manual?9. From : Martin (woodyamsterdam@hotmail.com)

I recently purchased a Nikkormat EL but I have some problems with the AE. Sometimes the camera advices a far to fast shutter speed and the pictures become under exposed. Is the AE a week point of this camera or do I just have bad luck?
Thanks for any help.10. Dear Folks:
I just bought a Nikkormat EL for a sculptor who works for Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum. The camera came with two Nikon lenses which were exactly what the sculptor needed. But there was no manual.
I was offended at the extortionary prices charged by scalper-like people on eBay, and was determined not to be overcharged simply because I needed a manual. Thanks the folks who operate this board,I was able to make a copy of the instruction manual withoutbeing taken advantage of.
Thanks guys.
