I have two wide angle nikon lenses: 24mm f/4.5 AI and a 35mm f/4.5 PC. They both use the HN1 lens shade. I have been having trouble with vignetting when I use the lens shade. It also happens when I use the polarizer and the HN12 shade. The wierd part is that it doesn't always happen. Sometimes there is no vignetting. It doen't seem to be related to aperture opening either because I often use f/22 for my shots. Anybody out there have any explanation? Advice?
Thanks

Regarding 1.35 V mercury batteries; Frans de Gruijter of the Dutch Rollei Club has made a page on "How to make a PX 625 Battery Adaptor". It is @ http://www.rolleiclub.nl/PX625replacement.html
An alternative option is to fit a Schottky directly into the battery circuit (see http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NikonRepair/message/308).

Steven: Nikkormat FTn employed with a CdS exposure meter powered which by a 1.3V mercury battery. Battery requires only for metering. It is very hard to get this power cell now. That is why as popular as other models on the market. Next, you have to specify lenses that you have if it is a Nikkor (AI or nonAI) ort third party lenses (Naturally all these could affect the prices GREATLY): see here for a guide between old and newer types of Nikkor lenses: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/nikonfmount/lens2.htm

I have a Nikkormat FTn and need to replace the battery. Can anyone tell me what type this camera uses? I also have 28mm, 50mm, and 135mm lens for this camera and everything is in very good condition. Can anyone give me a ball park value on the entire package ? Thanks

I recently purchases a nikkormat ft through e-bay. Am also looking at nikkormat EL. Can lenses be easily exchanged between cameras? The FT uses AI lenses, will the EL use the same lenses ?
