Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

As this site is specifically created for this purpose - so, please don't mail me other than constructive suggestions or rectifying mistakes found in this site, thanking you. More stories surrounding the legend of LP Buddhacharn Toh: His Holiness was the Phra Sangha Raja, ie the highest ranking monk in Thailand. It was said that King Mongkut left the Sangha after 27 years to become the 4th King Rama, he strayed from Buddhist life of austerity. To send King Mongkut a message, LP Toh went to see King Mongkut one afternoon carrying a lit candle. The message was that although it was bright day time, the King cannot see clearly. King Mongkut was said to have told LP Toh "I know I know". LP Toh like many of the famous Gurus are where they are because they follow the straight and narrow path that Lord Buddha laid down. For lay people, the recommendation is to follow the Five Precepts. Sadhu.

I think your site is truly special in the way that you didn't find short cuts like many others one the web and created so many of these original resources. Besides, there is no commercial flavor in whatsoever. For that:- I simply salute your lovely effort and dedication !

For those who may be interested to take a look at the PREVIEW site featuring three Buddhist temples in Penang, go to this page http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/leofoo/Thai-amulets/Buddhist_Landmarks/index.htm and click on "Malaysia". If you are lazy to do so, just go directly to the Main index page:-

http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/leofoo/Thai-amulets/Penang/index.htm

Our friends, Stan Thong, Tony Kang and possibly Ray will also be improving the sites with added knowledge later before letting them go "live". Enjoy.

K.T. That is fine. Nothing is better than letting fellow brothers lending a hand to help making the site better in its content development. Next, Site progress update 28.09.2006 Wat Pak Nam version history page, added some additional images (which includes Rock Ray's WPN). Has anyone has a precious stones version of the Wat Paknam (the one which has single, or four gem stones at the front) add to our library ? http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/leofoo/Thai-amulets/Wat-PakNam/WPN_version_history/index.htm

Technically speaking, the proposed sites are already up (only confined to public preview as well as for further improvement by co-developers). The temple you mentioned is called Wat Buppharam at Pulau Tikus area. In fact, Stan Thong has featured it long ago at his site (which is the official site). Well, with a few smart browsing in Leonard's site, you can find the preview site (along with two profiles on another two temples). Sorry for the leak, Leo.

I read Y.K.T. message earlier on Mr. Leofoo intention to cover a few temples in George Town, so, I am not sure if this information is useful: many years ago, I went to this temple which has a facinating facility to let visitors to lift a small Buddha statue. The temple locates at town center which has many hawkers stalls nearby (don know the exact name). Hopefully, other than the four temples (keklosii, snake temple and two near Burmese road) Mr. leofoo can have a featured site on that, any Penang folks know where is it ?

http://www.geocities.com/thai_pendants/legendary_lp_thuat.htm
