Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

As this site is specifically created for this purpose - so, please don't mail me other than constructive suggestions or rectifying mistakes found in this site, thanking you. Luang Phor Uttama passes away

Highly-revered Buddhist monk Luang Phor Uttama passed away Wednesday as a result of sepsis stemming from a chronic lung infection he had been suffering. He was 97 years old.

Hundreds of disciples of Phra Ratcha Udom Mongkhol Phahol Tharathon, abbot of Wat Wang Wiwekaram in Kanchanaburi, had gathered at an ICU unit at Siriraj Hospital to monitor doctors' reports on the monk's condition. They silently mourned the news of his death.

The funeral service for the senior monk, which is being held at the Kanchanaburi temple from today to next Thursday, is under the patronage of Her Majesty the Queen, who also provided treatment costs for him after he was admitted to Siriraj Hospital on November 25, 2004.

Hi Leo, this is a pleasant surprise! I didn't know you have such an interest too in Buddhist amulets/pendants collecting. I am you BIG FAN on your MIR classic cameras profiles (which is now the ultimate reference MF Nikon site on the web !). The KLCC Photo showcase is fantastic ! (I have a Nikon F6, hoping you will start another profile after the wonderful works on the F, F2, F3, F4 and F5).

Yours, Phil. Florida.

This is an extremely well designed website with tons of great info on Thailand amulets (congratulation !). I have spent few hours browsing around in your site. There may be a little things here and there but I think you can't expect perfection in all aspects (esp. when I read your confession of your weakness in writing). Personally, Lek's site is good but featuring only very high end stuffs (actually, how many people have that ?) but yours have more local appeals (and of course, you have your other strength such as in photography and places to visit section which can knock a lot of similar websites down in original content building). Can I make a suggestion ? probably you may consider also asking someone to proof read some pages. Next, would it be nice to have a trading section ? I wish it will be transformed into a truly world class presentation. This will increase traffic flow and make your site appeals to more amulet collectors. Ignoring what I have just said, I still have to thank you for the greatness in all your works as I enjoy my visit here very very much. Yours, Ram.

You're most welcomed bro Chempa. Its the greatest of honours to be of service to the Triple Gem. His Holiness the Dalai Lama once said, that one way of reaching immortality is through the sharing of knowledge. Dana of knowledge. No gift excels the gift of Dharma.

May your chanting bring you great health, prosperity & happiness, lead you into the material & immaterial Jhanas & finally Nibbana.

Idam Sabba Sattanam Hotu,Sukhita Hontu Sabbe Satta, Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu !!!

Okay. Got one from the Changmai page. http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/leofoo/Thai-amulets/weerapong/images/gumanthongOld.jpg but mine is sitting with a hand waiving at people. Is it relates to black magic or something like that ? if so, what should I do with it ? I was told to send to a buddhist temple. Okay ?

What is the name of this ? any problems carrying or worship it (heard too many stories on bad things) ? I dont seem to find a similar ones in this site. Thanks.
