Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

I was reading the story about temple thieves, and tried to look it up on BKKpost web. Seems the story is from Febuary 2008!

I always browse the local market amulets you never know when you will get lucky. Twice this year I have 1 coin worth 20,000B and another valued at 15,000B not long ago I found a curious pim that was slightly pink in color the vendor was quite nervous and anxious to pass it on he started at 1000B as I was leaving I got it and another for 100B.

This pim since it was sealed in water proof plastic has changed color and shrunk nearly 20% it is now black and dark red. It is oaval and features a sitting Buddah only in outline form with no face legs crossed form a perfect number 8 on the back is like the Thai number 1 the same marking used by LP Ngern.
Help me out, I think I am in possesson of a rare pim that was stolen. It has been most likely burried in a stupa for a long time protected from elements in a jar. Many strange things have happened since I started to wear this pim.

anyone read or a member of www.msiathaibuddha.com forum? If you have, what do you guys think about that forum? mostly malaysians i think but quite alot of amulets there.
Moderator :- Bro, by posting this question; are you trying to elicit an answer about the authenticity of the amulets being sold there? If it is about sales and trade, you might be better off asking the seller directly. If it is about the quality of the forum per se, I would humbly suggest not discussing about this as we don’t want to cause disputes and bring trouble to this board and its owner. Why not participate in the forum and see what you think?
But if readers feel they need to respond, please keep responses constructive and avoid back stabbing style of talk. Thank you.

Please allow to write in Chinese.

To those pupils here, especially from Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. Please do not go to Wonderful at Tun Aminah as his things are very expensive and sell you new things. This Guy Ah Boon is very good at Sales talk, and not honest so beware !!! We actually don't encourage these kind of finger pointing activities in the forum; at least it must be backed by confirmed incidence(s) as well as the acused has a chance to defend the accusation, but most of all, try not to make use of the forum for this purpose (further, it may also bring unnecessary trouble to the creator of the site, Thank You, brother

ear Sir,
thanks for your website that enables me to learn about these amulets. As a lover of indian art and an auctioneer, up to now I only knew about these items, that they are of Thai-origin. Now I got a small collection in my next sale, and I´m happy to treat them with more respect.
With kind regards
Jürgen Hecht-Doerzbacher

I think the point has gone across that this said trader needs to examine his own business practise. Doing dana or not, it is up to the individual's own motives and the kamma associated with it also depends on the motive for doing, so I won't comment more on this.

Through the various amulet forums in Msia and SIN, most people would have already known about the "intellectual property" problem of the photos in the magazine, won't need to elaborate again. Will let the matter rest for the moment.

With BKK flights on AirAsia now only 50 ringgit one way, unstable economy in Thai = cheap hotel rates....no need to get so hard up over local traders. Now is the opportunity to tamboon to your favorite LP in person, or also go to a competition. There is never a better time for amulet collectors than now.
