Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

Dear jerald

I am not encouraging sales of amulets in this site. But that is only confined to myself, as far as I know, uncle wichian, weerapong, unlce Lim or Mr Ho fook sang may have settled with some private sales via this web channel. As for me, I can't be using so many amulets (still keeping a few of the old and sentimental ones) but majority of my collection have given away to family members, close friends, staffs and business associates. You may find the phone numbers and (some) that carry the email at respective pages where you can establish contact with individual. However, I hope these sales only be confined among yoursleves and try not to invlove me. Thanks for asking.

Soolai: I guess your comment has become a personal preference rather than adopting the basic principle of sharing in a community. Yes, you can post in Hindi or Pali if you like (and again, it depends very much on the numbers who can master or digest your inspirational thought in your post). But if you can, I would rather advice you to pick up Chinese as well (it will do a lot of good for you as a whole, that is presume you are a Chinese). Y.K.T. has provide a straight translation of wish of the web host and ask if the host considering an alternate Chinese forum just to "please" a small segment of the hardcore English educated visitor(s) (luckily, I am a "hybrid", haha..(sorry) well, I would leave that decision to leofoo). My comment has a basis, a reason and an objective, i.e. although we are not trying to be a hero but sometimes when you opened up a search on Mandarin keywords like "泰国佛牌“ it shown with virtually 95% commercial pages and aided with other "secondary" results like "改运, 和合法事, 趋旺姻缘, 斩桃花,.. 招财转运玄学馆提供古曼童, 鬼仔, 小鬼, 胎鬼, 尸鬼, 降头术 ..." these are probably the same thing you find in Malaysia, Singapore or even Thailand, but with the return results suggested, you will probably understand why I agree the message board should also invite Mandarin based visitors to share or hopefully, things that we discussed can also INDIRECTLY instill a correct attitude in WHY we use amulets in the first place (luck on striking lottery(ies) is definitely out for me...). In relation to the debate on implementation and restricting use of Chinese in this English message board, this is not a question of you nor other individual one-sided wish whether this should be or shouldn't be - but rather, my personal opinion is, it should be shared and adopted by a common, unified ground( but I do respect your declaration of a "no"). Peace.

Bro Pico, Real TRaja disciples who made phra pidtas are Chau Khun Chan (Akong), Chau Khun Mit (Than Mit), LP Murk and LP Deng Wat Khok Sai, Chainat, Thailand. The only living TRaja disciple now is Archan Kuan (Atok)the late Chau Khun Chan brother. He does not make any amulets, just takruts (tangkai) and tongkats.

Metta Tony.

I think I have to agree with YKT, I notice the board has almost reaching its 1,000 postings ! And this is the first time I notice users are using Mandarin which, to me is a positive sign. Regardless the natures a collector, followers of Loard Buddha teaching or just believers, this should be encouraged. It requires some courage to make a post in any forum, I hope we don't discourage positive progress of this lovely site. 讲得不对,敬请多多包涵。p.s. YKT was using a few words of BM, no problems right ?

Dear Care, If it is a complaint, I think it is not relevant. I can't translate all the messages for you but I can extract one phase where the host posted " Under the name of Buddhism, there is no territorial differences in political boundaries, races and even languages barrier...". I know many may not be able to read Mandarin but equally, there are many also may not be able to command English so well. So, it doesn't mean those who wishes to express an opinion in Chinese cannot be permitted to do so in this forum. Personally, I would like to see others such as from Hong Kong, Twaiwan and even Mainland China to come in to join into our message board.

Well, if any of you think this board should only be used by English based brothers, an alternate way is to ask Leonard to provide an all new Chinese forum to cater for Chinese based users. But Personally, I would like it to be shared. It is a COMMUNITY. Peace-man... by the way, aku also don't know Mandarin too well but sikit 2 saja...(Shy).
