Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. I may be only 20 this year, but I've taken a interest in Thai amulets 6 years ago. I have a Nang Phaya amulet, which was given to me by Mr Luo Hua Sheng, a famous achan in Sg. Actually I have a suggestion for people who want to buy amulet but is not sure how to tell if it's real or not. That is, have the amulet chant by a achan. When the Achan is chanting, the amulet will have a reaction on the owner. For instance, you will feel hot, dizzy... For me, when Achan Luo is chanting, I can feel the pulse of my right hand pumping. It is true. Amulets which are powerful, can cause the chanter's hand to tremble, even for a monk. Hope you will find my suggestion helpful.

I'm a female but I also worship Khun Paen. I have a photo of a Khun Paen statue which I took with my Nokia 7610. I wish to share this picture with all the Khun Paen followers out there through your website... May I have your permission ? This Khun Paen statue is black in colour & have a history of about 70 years old. It was transported from Thailand by my uncle. I've post the picture in my blog www.crazyred121.blogspot.com , it is very clear. Really hope to hear from you asap.

Dear bro Stan,I agreed with you that the tangkai mentioned by bro Raymond actually helped the child to concentrate and more focus in their studies. Many of us experience alot of blessing using the tangkai made by Archan Kuan.Archan Kuan also helped to cure the victims of black magic, which he learned from TRaja.Thats why in June every year his followers gathered in Penang to celebrate his birthday.Who is Archan Kuan?Archan Kuan(87 years) is the youngest brother of the late Than Chan(Akong)The name Atok is given by Uncle Khoo which mean grandfather in Malay. He is not a monk but an archan(guru). He had been following TRaja since he s 15 years old until TRaja passed away.He s one of the gurus personally taught by TRaja to cure black magic and to perform the WAI KRU ceremony. He also learned the arts of making tongkat and tangkai from TRaja and Than Chan. There re many types of tangkai made by Archan Kuan which are very popular.Beside that he also made tongkat.Nowadays it is not easy to get the tangkai made by Archan Kuan, because due to old age he s not able to make so many tangkai now.All his tangkai are handwritten. Archan Kuan also made special tongkats for Wat Uttamaram (1000 pieces) for the devotees to donate to the temple. The donation is RM699.This special tongkats are made from jangrak tree. This tree was planted by TRaja to get the latex from its fruits to made phra pidta.A few years back this tree was struck by lightning and fell. The present Abbot take it as a sign TRaja wanted it to be made into tongkat. He consulted Archan Kuan and he agreed with him.The yant in the tongkat is the original yant from TRaja. This tongkat also undergo the WAI KRU ceremony, whereby most of the famous monks in Kelantan were invited to chant in this ceremony. Metta,Tony

Hi Karp, I got my LP Poon Khun Paen Gumanthong from a reputable amulet shop in Singapore. I seriously doubt they would intentionally sell fakes. If I take high quality pictures of it, can you or anyone here help me to verify it's authenticity? Also, do you have any info on LP Poon? Thanks...

Jason, there is imitation amulet of LP Poon (Wat Pailom) Khun Paen Gumanthong. In Bkk dealers sells them even before the temples had it released. You have to know how to see the differences since it looks very much the same. Show collectors who has experiences for verification.
