Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

As this site is specifically created for this purpose - so, please don't mail me other than constructive suggestions or rectifying mistakes found in this site, thanking you. I’m a newbie’s novice collector, having Buddhism as one of my enforced “religious studies” which I did not even dare to step into the examination hall, here am I collecting amulets and comments & point out my view.

Should I have interested in any amulets with the condition that the amulets have good details under10x loupe, w/o any consideration wise of the age or person who made them.
I’m an art collector.

Should I who collects old amulets that have been made w/o consideration of the details of amulets & who made the amulets. I will then consider myself as an antique collector.
Should I who collect any amulets from one person, irregardless of the amulet age or details. I’m an admirer.

Should I who collect amulets that will fetch high profit for me, then I’m an investor. Then if I collect these amulets, sell them and use the profit for charity purpose, so as to gain karmas for myself, I’m stepping into the door of Buddhist practice, gaining my ways to be a Arahat. Otherwise if collect these amulets sell them and use the profit for charity purpose for charity purpose in my mindset, I’m stepping into the door of Buddhist practice, gaining my ways to be a Bodhisattva.

Should I collect any amulets irregardless who made them (fake or not) for the purpose of self protection or “bring me luck” or “make things easy for me” then I’m superstitious.
Then if it’s for the purpose for peace of mind, I’m stepping into the door of Buddhist practice, gaining my ways to be a Arahat.

Should I collect any amulets irregardless who made them (fake or not) for the purpose of self protection or “bring me luck” or “make things easy for me” then I’m superstitious.
Then if it’s for none other than the purpose of doing deeds such as charity, I’m stepping into the door of Buddhist practice, gaining my ways to be a Bodhisattva.

Guess what, I still have problem understanding what the heck I'm thinking about X-post@other forum

Dear YKT, the forum at http://www.amulets.sg/forum has no criteria and is of free membership. All are welcome to post. My post to smacko is that he has no basis to say all are young punkz and may be he was one of the rejected punkz he mention. No one know his standard because this is open forum board and anyone can register freely to frame. Metta, Kekwei

don like to make comparisons as this is a sensitive topic. i quit delphi a couple of years ago solely on personal ground (have not revisit the place for a long time but members are plenty with mix of experient & freshies. topics are too diverse at times (esp. the the none-controlled opinions on the various range of "odd" stuffs which generate a sense of discomfort for me (i guess..). anyway, a local friend of mine has pointed me to this site, after few hours of casual browsing, i would say it is a very GOOD site and personally i like and would like to recommend anyone to it. Well, when things are not too commercial, usually it will yield good and high quality content, so this is a good representation of such an equation. last word, congratulation to the site creator and i enjoy your showcase, as well as applauding for your neutral stand (& good attitude).

Oh .. seemed like the site is like Delphi forum on amulet collecting, requires a membership huh ? "Rejection" means not all are "qualified" or "fit" to join kah ?.. wow - didn't realize that. I am not an experienced kaki collector, I would rather prefer to stay here then (perhaps, one of the main reason why this site can make me feel so much at "home". Anyway, like kakaman's clarifications, such remarks can give rise to potential cross-border conflicts, it may be also be seen as a sabotage effort from whoever, like a not happy party from any rivaling forum members, sad state...where it defies basic Buddhist reaching lah). Thank you.
