Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Mr. Purt Raksasab: Can you give some pricings for the butterfly images. This amulet type is very popular in Malaysia and Singapore. I am sure many of us would like to have an indication.

Haha, not terror lah...I only know very few places that provide wrapping service and Wat Meh Liew is one of them. I don't know about the temple in Pandan Indah, coz if I need to have an amulet wrapped, I'll go to Pearl Point to have it done. Have a safe journey to Ipoh. Will be looking forward to your review of Ipoh temples :)

Wah .. Malcolm, you are real terror. No wonder they appoint you as a maintainer. May be this weekend I will try to go there again. Do you have any knowledge on the Pandah Indah the road side temple ?? Some friends have some "bad experience" with them... well, one side of the story, I would rather stay neutral on this. Next week or so, may be I will be going to Ipoh, perhaps I can gather some info on some of the tmples there for you all. Bye.

Hello. The temple you are referring to is Wat Meh Liew, Kampong Siam off Jalan Pahang...It's near Tawakal Hospital. The person framing the amulet is Uncle Chai and his skill is not bad although he is seldom around during weekdays. Best if you try going on sunday afternoon.

Hello. I am wondering does nyone been to this Thai temple (don't know what is the name but it has been there for ages... but I have only been there for a couple of times as one of my friend stays around there, will provide you the actual "official" name). It locates just next to the Mosque at the roundabout to Setapak/Jalan Pahang. There is a tiny stall attached to the temple also provides such service. P.S. I notice most of the "Kaki" here don't sleep early .. it is 1 p.m. Mr. YT, which part of KL are you staying ?

Yeah.. You do know the shop too huh ? Next trip when I go there, I will ask for the address and his tel number. Actually, one of my friend also has his amulets done by a "part-timer", he works as a mechanic but you will cough out blood dealing with him, because he does it when he is free and I don't want my amulets keep by him for that long, so, unless he improves on his "delivery" date, I am not going to promote his services, However, he workmanship is top class and has a good taste for design (mostly plastic). He stays in Kepong.

I think I know which shop you are referring to, and I believe it's the only amulet shop in Chinatown. Is it the one opposite Wisma Hai-O Raya, the shop painted yellow in colour?

Ya. Another one is athe the junction between Jalan Sultan and Petaling Steet (China Town). But he doesn't has ready casings, offers similar plastic encolusre only. I did a gold case with him, not bad except the gold casing he used is the plain gold type (no decorative patterns).
