Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

Phra Kring in that formation is a typical classic design. But even Wat Suthat has older Krings that doesn't hold anything (just two hands overlapping upwards in meditation style) and another older version from the temple is two hands holding the bottle. Yes. It is a little unusual. I have even seen a version by Wat Caho Khun Sri of the Phra Caiwat in trinagular shape. Hello to moderator, I am wondering in you could solve my another curiousity. But please do. I am wearing a Phra Kring for few years already which was given by my friend who is a feng shui master.
After I make comparison to the Phra Kring in the market and even on the web, I can't find anything like mine. The reason is all of the Kring that I've seen are holding the bottle vertically in left hand. As for mine, the bottle is held horizontally in the left hand. Why is this or this is some sort of "trademark" from some Wat. Please, help me with the question which i really wish to know for many years. It's a silly question to ask but still, Im giving a try.

I hoping to make a trip to kelantan in the near future. Other then visiting Wat Uttamaram paying respect to Tok raja, finding Achan kuan, what other temple worth to visit and what other top monk still around. Mr. Jess Wolcott: Melaka (Malacca) is an old town located 400km + from Penang. Too tiring to go from South to North. May be by air (via KL) is more feasible. Sueestion you to download a Malaysian Map as guide.

Wat Suthat got new and old one, got expensive and got affordable one. If you are new, I suggest you start with a newly made piece that is not so expensive (pricewise depends on the trader and how u bargain). Old wat suthat krings are not easy to collect as there are many fakes. But if your intention is just to wear, then I suggest you can go to any thai temple and ask for one piece to wear. IS a Kring amulet worths a lot ? A friend's amulet outlet is asking for RM3,000-00. How to verify the one he is trying to sell genuine ? The one he offers me is from WAT SUTAT, Bangkok.
