Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

As this site is specifically created for this purpose - so, please don't mail me other than constructive suggestions or rectifying mistakes found in this site, thanking you. I live in Lyon, France. Free thinker (some sort) but no religion. Your site is lovely, a work of passion. While trying to plan my holiday and trying to seek for some good destination and have found this site. Buddhism is an abstract matter to me but your site has lead to to have a first encounter to this school. The "Suthat" Buddha is magnificent, so does the Swedagon Pagoda in Myanmar. Wish I can plan a trip to both places. You are a Malay right ? Strange, as it takes a Malaysian to create a Thai Buddhist site but this is a very very good (and beautiful) site.

Thanks for sharing your wisdom. love from Lyon.

Dear brother Purt:- In due respect, this is in the mind of most people. Dear Lilian (?): Nang Phrya is ranked 3rd among the great Five (Benchaphakhi or Benjapakee" set of Thailand Amulets. Ladies/women's favorite piece. Good image. Older pieces are very hard to find and possibly come with a higher price (demand and supply issue). Wat Phra Keow has quite of number of series but the image is more like Nang Jilata or some call them Soomdej Jilata). Some of the most famous older series of Nang Phrya come from Phitsanulok province. Welcome to the board.

In 1969 while in Thailand, a remarkable lady gave me in the presence of her family in Banglampoo, Bangkok, a Luang Poo Thuat amulet encased in 24k gold with a odd metallic amulet of LPT. On one side is an impression of a fairly young mans face and on the other a very lean man appearing quite old in a sitting position. Around the oval edges are writings I cannot understand (Thai or Sanscrit? I don't know. When she presented the amulet she said" This is a real one". I need to sell this amulet, but whom can I trust? She also mentioned two other things of curiousity.1. That LPT was the one who walks beneath the earth and2. That when kidnapped while at sea provisions were all lost in a storm and LPT taking pity on his captors reached into the sea and gave them fresh water and saved their lives. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Maugans Russell
