Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook |
Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

I think the point has gone across that this said trader needs to examine his own business practise. Doing dana or not, it is up to the individual's own motives and the kamma associated with it also depends on the motive for doing, so I won't comment more on this.
Through the various amulet forums in Msia and SIN, most people would have already known about the "intellectual property" problem of the photos in the magazine, won't need to elaborate again. Will let the matter rest for the moment.
With BKK flights on AirAsia now only 50 ringgit one way, unstable economy in Thai = cheap hotel rates....no need to get so hard up over local traders. Now is the opportunity to tamboon to your favorite LP in person, or also go to a competition. There is never a better time for amulet collectors than now.

Chinhua is really angry at the SP trader. Anyway, let us show them compassion by ignoring them in our heart. Just cool down. Most of the cheater will go out of business as Karma will detect them just like traffic police detect speeding cars on Kesas..right before turning into SP Trader..Their main objective of starting business is to make money and of course some are taken by the dark force and diverting the true path.
I have read his magazines, to console those who "kena conned" he does some charity by sending groceries to old folks home, orphanage...we have to give credit for his generosity thru the living he made by cheating..indirectly we are doing charity as well :)imagine some of the local old folk/orphanage are not supported by goverment or any Wats. Since he is cheating, deep inside him he knows he violated the Karma Law (I think he was once ordained as a monk as well) We can stop him by NOT GIVING BUSINESS to him..this will probably change his business practice..let show him the right path, in no time word of mouth will spread to his ears and awaken the Buddha within! Auspicious and Greatness to all!
May the truth bless us with peace of mind and now with low cost carrier cheap tickets to Thailand, we can rent lots good and genuine amulets from the respective LPs. Eg: I rented LP Wat Paknam batch#4 straight fr the temple itself and since then I have never doubted the originality, though some ppl might wanna get a second opinion. To me, why doubt? why create more worries than the original idea of renting amulet which is to be bless with good health and safety?
May all the past be past, and our future be blessed with wisdom in collecting the great pieces of Buddhist art!64. From : Gary (gary_laicc@yahoo.com)

The quality of M'sian traders are very variable, to date, I have yet to come across a real "competition quality" trader. Most trader brag about their things and how great their skill in looking at amulet, enjoy the storytelling with a big pinch of salt. There are 1 or 2 not bad traders around but I won't name them for ethical reasons. Usually most traders will mix fakes together with genuine in their showcase, and it is a standard practice in Thai also.
Best is take directly from Luang Phor as the money goes straight to the LP, and also bypass middleman. Most important you know you have the real thing which gives peace of mind. But given that, you have to know which temple don't mix the new things with factory pump one like LP Kalong temple.
Moral of the story is, collect wisely.

Defeats the purpose of practicing Buddhism.
Karma will definitely catch up with this offender/publisher.
Recently, there are more and more magazines out in the market mostly published by amulets shops-trying to promote their product and service. It is a good way to learn more about amulets but always remember if you want to get a genuine one, do make the effort to visit the respective temple. Unless you are willingly pay high $$$$$ for certain collectable old amulets thru traders, chances of getting a fake is relatively high if you are not veteran like some of the sifu on this blog.
With sincerity I believe Buddha, Dharma and Sangha will bless us with great health and luck in whatever we are doing as long as we dont harm others.
May we all be blessed with wisdom in this hobby of learning and collecting wonderful Buddhist art.

Haha, this guy I dealt with him before. Nearly got cheated into a LP Tim KPPK with fake certificate. Yes, he has links with Penang amulet shop and also a Thai guy called Arkom who is so called competition kammakan. Come to Malaysia to verify amulets at that time only Rm50, but will 9 out of 10 times say yours fake. If want to 100% verify amulet, bring to Bangkok competition yourself, don't rely on this so called kammakan. This mastermind is also a amulet magazine publisher who copycat amulet pictures from Singapore collectors, piss off alot of people in the process. Amulet trade is quite dark one, slowly learn and you will see alot of pattern.
