Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

Hey, I am from Indonesia. I'd really like your website. Lek Watruak's write-ups are great but in caomparison, your site carries another kind of flavour and the approach is indeed, very interestng - basically, I like both of your sites. Mr. leofoo, you are a malaysian right ? Similarly, I cannot locate your email but I wish to let you know - It is a tremendous effort (since you are not a Thai). Good job !

Hey, this is a surprise find of the day. I have check through virtually all the images shown in this site, good stuffs (hope to see more in the future). I like this forum as well, it provides a good path for everyone to share individual opinions. I couldn't find the creator's email but I do have a question, are these images for sale too ? I have attempted to phone Mr Wichien a few times relating to a few of his private colection, but he doesn't speak English but I think he speaks Hokkien, I have some problems talking to him but I will try to ask a friend to translate for me. Well, once again, this site is truly "made" for someone like me. Thanks for the GREAT presentation !!!

I think it is a Nak Prok although it looks like a Phra Kong. Nak prok is quite popular too among the Thai. Phra Kong also has similar appearance and its history can trace back to hundreds of years ago (early versions may even close to a 1000 years ago !) But I don't dare to authenticate such old pieces because there are many 'modern' replicas of these oldies.

The biggest attraction of your website is perhaps, Friendliness. I think most of us are not very knowledgeable towards this original, old Thai customary belief (it is diminishing among the younger generations). The perspective from a user point of view to create this site is very appealing even to someone like me. Not to mention the high quality and easy navigation of the website also makes this site very inviting to visit again. I would like to congratulate the creator for this fine exhibit. I am using a Nikon (FM2n) too and your photography site is always my ultimate reference on SLR camera ! Thanks for sharing.

I am quite new into collecting Thai Amulets. I agreed with you, some of the imitation was truly a disgrace to the religion. Over the years, I have been offered four Khun Paen and each time, after verification, I have found out they are the faked ones (good things never come cheap ... and just tried my luck). Next question, is the magical Khun Paen really works in "specific" area ? I have heard a lot of stories relating to its mighty "power"..pls use the board to response as I am thinking of changing email as lately, I have been spammed heavily. MS.
