Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

Hi Bro.

Try Fu Lu Shou Centre. Many amulets casing shops there.

Brother Steven, high quality Soomkor (along with the likes of Ponsuphan and Nang Phraya) are very difficult to come by. Prices usually associates with Quality and rarity and hard to define a borderline. Usually we use a value to establish a comfort but unlikely willing to dispose it (good reason for a gold cased item rather than plastic-cased huh, haha...). However, I guess can look for a right person who is willing to pay is another issue. Lastly, how much on it is the third issue. Why don't go Yah00 Photo and let us share your possession? may be other brothers may provide a clue as well.

P.S. strange, earlier I typed "yahoo" found it is a banned keyword for spam, so I change to y00 - I will inform leo on this. Anyone knows when will leo be back in town ? h/p signal downed, so I SMS.

I always thought the demand (gold or silver casings) is there local amulet lovers. Unfortunately, many service centres have reservation over this area. I guess gold spike in prices is the main cause. Hope things will improve in the future. Wat Inrahvihan is a good topic, hope to see the site goes live one day with other excellent resoucres here in this site.

Hi, I happen to come across your website and found the amulet that you have posted under the following comments:

"Uncle Wichien has given me two amulets with Phra Soomkor thus far, and on both occasions, I gave them away to my elder brother haha ..."

It suddenly striked me that I have seem to have something similar given to me about 6 to 7 years back by a monk. I kept it aside without considering much. The color of my amulet is however black in color but other than that everything looks almost identical. Except the logo on the back of my amulet seems abit blur as compared to the one that you have posted. I am wondering whether are there much fake ones of this kind floating in the market. To me, it seems more like handmade ones. I searched through other websites for Phra Soomkor but I can't find anyone similar to those who own. Anyway, I am very amatuer in this collection though I may have spent quite a bit acquiring the experience. Hope you can enlighten me and if need be I may like to post a picture of mine to you for verification. By the way, what is the market value of this amulet. Cheers, Steven

Changing a new php3 codes on the new web server, some data lost occured (partly some guys are attempting using external codes to attack the message board system and causing the database behaves strangely, will sort this out with my friend mr. YEAK tonight and tomorrow). Sorry. Anyway, site progress update 05.12.2006 I have added some additional info on the amulet casing as well as Soomdej pages. Besides, I went to Wat IN, BangKhunPhrom last week, will create a visual site later when I am free. Similarly, Weerapong has sent me a series of old, classic, top class Phra ROD images from northern Thailand, I will add to the amulet-mold section as well later. Thanks all. P.S. will be leaving for Bangkok next two days for business meeting, tiring...
