Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. I HATE to see many shops trying to convince buyers saying their amulets have relic inside (and cost only hundred bucks or so). but strangely, people believe in such story line. The closest of such nature was somethng like: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/leofoo/Thai-amulets/Wichien/Soomdej/index4.htm
bottom left piece. I have bought the book (click to see the more info link below that image) there was another orange images that carried with "stones" - no one can truly verify what were those materials but that was the legendary Toh's early versions of his designs prior to arrival to WRK.

Melvin: I think you may have got this wrong. the holder is just a holder (empty inside) so - what is the purpose of buying one ? Unless you have something to put it in. The shops don't sell it with free relics (a joke, anyway..).

Bro. Koon Hee: I have limited knowledge about amulets and I am still learning and very grateful to some of the Members of this forum who are willing to share their superb knowledge and wonders about Buddhist amulets. Most LP Sie's amulets are related to Brahmas & Devas residing in the upperpart of the 31 realms of existence such as 4-faced Phrom, Hanuman, Kanesh, etc. LP Sie's 4-faced Buddhas are very famous for great Metta (loving kindness), success, and protection. Not every information can be obtained from the internet. You need to adhere to Buddha's teachings, practise and meditate in order for you to find the answer. Metta, Stan

All substance are made of atoms. Can stones "grows" on its own ? Theoretically, science may think in a absolute gravity-less (such as SPACE) environment may enable "things" grow (here I am not referring to vegetables). But relic is one thing that sometimes science cannot provide a clear clue how the hell things like crystallized substance can replicate in numbers. Many refer relics stones are gifts from Lord Buddha. Sri-Lanka, Burma have such true relics whom many Buddhist believe are parts/remains of Lord Buddha (a couple of years ago, a such kind was exhibited in Singapore in a small batches of a very lovely, multicolored relics from Burma). It can be through powerful chanting from a monk or remains of his body. Most pagoda in Thai Temples usually have a relic positioned to "protect" the temple or act as a symbol. It may be colorless (some who may have spent decades keeping it and couldn't even colorized or replicate in multiples), some may, in a word of Lord Buddha's blessing permit it to grow. Hard to explain but those who have such "luck" are the "chosen ones"... However, there are plenty of disciplines in keeping these crystallized pieces. I have seen once in my life, multi-colours. The monk who cherishes it for the last 60+ years was at a small temple in Khon Kaen, north/eastern Thailand. Hop this little personal info helps.
