Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Yung,

Wat Pak Nam is on the other side of the Chao Phaya River (known as Fang Thon meaning Thon Province). Depending on which part of Greater Bangkok you take the cab from, it could cost around 100-120 baht also dep on what time of the day ie peak or non peak hours. Journey should take about 30-60 mins at the mercy of the traffic. Not all Bangkok taxi drivers would know how to go as many are part-time drivers during off season planting padie otherwise. And there are also lots of new drivers on the road never heard of where Wat Pak Nam is. Good luck wai-ing Luang Phor Sodh, his body still there.

I think you are referring to the below that was publish in some newspapers in Malaysia:

Name: Yee Go Hong (Er Ge Feng) image
Yee Go Hong image charming for Gambling.

People believe that Yee Go Hong image can induce good luck, Gambling and wealth. Also, this amulet can protect the owner from enemies, danger and bad things.

He was born in China and was a Chinese Millionaire. He came to Thailand in the reign of King Rama III. He was the first person who introduce gambling in Thailand. He often helped the poor people. Yee Go Hong's joss-house very popular among Thai gamblers. Every day, many people go to his joss-house and pray to get lucky in gambling or lotteries. So, that's it. I have no further info.

First of all, it would be an insult to any monk if an ordinary person (often a quack!!!) claims that he could feel the power of an amulet by just holding it!!! Come on, give me a break here.....I think your friend is full of himself if he thinks he can do that!!! Please ask your friend not to mislead people!

Secondly, please beware if you buy amulets from the internet. These dealers from the internet write wonderful stories about the monks and the miracles of the amulets associated with these monks to CON newbie like you. Do not get carried away by such websites. The stories and miracles they wrote are probably true but they are applicable to ONLY genuine amulets and certainly not the amulets from those dubious websites.

Thirdly, maybe you should seriously recheck your amulet by asking someone who really knows this type of amulet but expect the worst. Like the saying, "Hope for the best but prepare for the worst".

Lastly, do not be disheartened even if your amulet is a fake. Take it as the money you paid for any fakes as your "tuition fee". You are not alone as most of us would have to pay for "tuition fee" one way or the other when we decided to buy/collect amulets.

Money is difficult to make so please spend wisely. Buy only from reliable sources and not from those CON men.

All the best!
