Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook
Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

there are several good offers for auction in the yahoo singapore section. I'm listing here cos it makes no diff if you bid in Sing or elsewhere, they send by post. Some of the good amulets up for auctions I saw are amulet from LP Tim, LP Sawaii, Phra Pidta ($8) and the commemorative Somdej with Chinnabunchorn katha behind ($50) and also LP Pae. The above were consecrated by Monks who are no longer with us...physically.820. I agree with what Bro. YKT said. Many of us generally do not have much exposure to Thai amulets unlike our Singaporean friends down south where there are many amulet dealers and thai temples for people to stumble upon amulets. And with their level of living standards, it's not surprising that many of them have the means to collect the best and most sought after "hot" amulets. Here in Malaysia, not every town have thai temples or amulet dealers. And with the limited number of dealers around, people generally collect what the dealers stock or collect on dealer's hearsay. But I am sure there are also some Malaysians that have the skill and finance to collect top Thai amulets - just that they might not go around showing off their amulets in public.
Also bear in mind that Malaysia had produced some well-known monks whos amulets may not be taken seriously by Bangkok collectors but commands thousands in the Malaysia market.
But nowadays, I'm starting to notice more people of all walks of life wearing thai amulets. Maybe due to the cheap Air Asia flights to Thailand or maybe due to the many Thai horror films coming into Malaysia - many are slowly becoming more exposed to Thai amulets. It's only a matter of time the Malaysia style of collecting will slowly catch up with the Thais.
