Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook |
Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

I am quite new into collecting Thai Amulets. I agreed with you, some of the imitation was truly a disgrace to the religion. Over the years, I have been offered four Khun Paen and each time, after verification, I have found out they are the faked ones (good things never come cheap ... and just tried my luck). Next question, is the magical Khun Paen really works in "specific" area ? I have heard a lot of stories relating to its mighty "power"..pls use the board to response as I am thinking of changing email as lately, I have been spammed heavily. MS.1865. This is a interesting website. I am in particularly like the quality of all the images the site presents. However, I would like to read more of the respective names of those Buddha images in native Thai. Anyway, I know you are not a Thai National and it can be quite hard for you to translate them correctly. Overall, a fine job and thanks for all the hard works. Cheers. NP, from Hua Hin.1868. Very interesting website - even if I am not a Buddhist but this is quite an extraordinary work. I have a glimpse of other's religious beliefs which is totally different from ours. Strangely, if someone can accept Christianity and Buddhism so naturally, why can we accept Islam and everyone live peacefully together ? Peace.1869. From : C.H. Chong (canandpin_X1@yahoo.com)

Cool site and pelnty of images for me to look around. I have a Pitta, a "penis" stick (similar to the one used by one shown in the site), Kun Paen and a Soomdej but do not know their respective origin. I agree with you, there are too many around on the market and it takes a seasoned colector to verify the differences of what is "good" and don't. I am from Singapaore and I'd really like your website, it is simple, friendly and easy to browse around. Thank You.1870. From : June Mesley (junniemesley99@mailcity.com)

Beautiful oriental imageries ! I went to Bangkok and Pattaya last year and it is such a lovely country with rich culture and many mysterious religious background/legends that centered around the temples. I think I've been to the temple shown above near the Chaophaya river bank too. It is good to bring back good memories. Thanks.1871. From : Ngam J. Witnunat (thaikidsintown@yahoo.com)

I am living in Florida with my parent. You have a very interesting and quite a comprehensive collection on Amulets. I like the site design as well, very clean, neat and most of all, very interesting to read on. I am using a Phra Khun Paen while I was looking around for one amulet for my girl friend and that was how I came into your site. To summarize my visit - It is GREAT effort, in particular you are not a Thai national and equally honest enough to adknowledge your experience. but it is okay. By the way, I noticed you have a MARVELLOUS website on photography too, I am using an Olympus OM-1n. Keep on with your superb effort !!1872.
