Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook |
Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

I hunt one of the beaches in Thailand with a metal detector and have found a Thai buddhist bronze figure. I do not know how to have this identified or valued. Any ideas?1816. From : Stan Thong (258168@celcom.net.my)

Dear Kah Chun: Is great to know that you have found happiness with your Phra Pitta. I have been googling for many years to learn more about the background or history of Phra Pitta, of which was to no avail. Perhaps you could help me or members of this forum. Stan

Skipped this MB for quite a while, has been doing quite a lot of traveling lately. I am glad to find new "ACTIVE" maintainers being appointed. It is all right, I can read Rock's comments and replies (good job !). Come to think of it. many Thai, Burmese and even Malaysian amulets owners do not speak a word of English other than their own native lingo, so this issue is not important at all (mine is so-so level..). Like what Leonard said in this site to address this "English":
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/opinion/html/site.htm
and he has created a fantastic Malaysian photo website that is well respected throughout the world (I am a Nikon photobug too). Most people would assume everyone speak/write a common language, but even in Europe,Latin America and even Japan or China, majority don't. So, instead of creating a site that only serves a "Harvard or Cambridge graduate" (borrowed from a famous leo's remarks" - very few people will be here then ... Thank You, Mr. Rock for keeping the flames burning for all amulets lovers here ! regards, KT. (I am in Shanghai now, browsing via my Hotel's Internet line). P.S. I read about your trip to China back to KL ??1818. From : Justin (fedupwithspam@noemail.com)

Mr Foo. I like your new banner at the top. Should have included the Phra Kring and Wat Pak Nam, my favourite-lah. Good to see this website is slowly getting crowdy. Except for the English - Mr Rock is DAMN good in handling issues - I respect that who bothers ? I can digest what he tried to convey to us. Keep it up Mr ROCK !1819.
