Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

"... the difference in opinion is to live with, not something that should fight about...".. bear in mind, those who observe at the sideline do have their judgement as well. Anyone can put up a comment but must be responsible (I can accept a comparing ratio of 99:1 rather than 1:99). Personally, this is a great site on amulets collecting.

Hi Mr. Passerby, It's quite convenient for anyone to come in here and make sweeping statements about the authenticity of the pieces exhibited here. Like what other bros. here suggested, perhaps you'll like to share with us a few pictures of genuine pieces to back up your allegations. The ball is in your court now.

regards

I have been collecting amulets for last 18 years and have been fairly good at these. Yeap, I enjoy the showcase of amulets here, to say 1% is real 99% is fake is too much of a comment, young man. This defies basic teaching of Buddhism too. by the way, who owns this image http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/leofoo/Thai-amulets/leofoo/images/fooSDFrntBig.jpg

nice pieces. I have tried to call wichien, but his phone (tahiland) is not working, I was there in Hadyai last week.

cool remarks, passerby. I have seen plenty of fake stuffs over the years, never had a chance to enjoy some real stuffs - I also wish to have an opportunity to see some "real" amulets too, mana ada ? in relation to Tok Raja images, this is the first time I am seeing collection of them (fortunately, those are being authenticated by you and all are real, right ?)

Okay. Mr. Passing by (?), where do you suggest we should go from here to see some "real" visual of REAL amulets ? I hope the Chiangmai president of amulets collection society and the column writer of Chiangmai news (mr. weerapong, i think) will have their heads hit the ceiling when they read your post (sorry..lah). Next, as mr. YKT suggested, can you post some images of real amulets for us to share your collection ? Just open an account at yahoo images. funny, i thought those are very high quality images (I enjoy the Chiangmai pages the most). anyway, photography cannot convert a fake into a real stuffs-man (if not impossible, as a graphic artist in nature and i do possess a "little" graphic knowledge over the years). But as YKT stated, i do agree with his remarks, in an open forum, everyone can enjoy a fair bit of a free-speech, but individual wisdom separates among dividing opinion. Personally (no offense) despite what you think, i enjoy what i saw and read so far (sorry lah, again..).

But curiosity leads, what made you think all the amulets displayed here are FAKE ???

I hope you see that good photography skills does not equal to real amulets.

That certainly also insults my intelligence & existence of being here as well ... haha. Never mind, everyone has their own opinion. If a amulet site is only meant to serve the top 1% collection, it will become a exclusive showcase, but I read the lines clearly main objective of this site is not for that purpose. So, it is a matter of individual perception Perhaps, by passer can share his collection to let us have a eye-opener..

Passerby: you mean other than the Tok raja images, the rest of the images in this site are not genuine ? Why are we here then ? I am not a seasoned guy but neither I want to prostitute my own knowledge into this, friend. Better be more specific.

Friends, other than Tok Raja amulets that are genuine, the rest 99% cannot make it. Sorry but this is my frank opinion.
