Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

The carbon test for amulet was talked about 3-4 years ago. There was not any at that time. Whether or not there is now, I am not sure. But I have never heard about it. Even if there is, I do not think it is popular because one needs to scratch a residual of an amulet to test, which is destructive. And I heard from someone that carbon has half life of 3000-4000 years and thus not suitable to test Phra somdej which has life of around 140 years. A fake amulet, when tested with carbon, may turn out to be reportedly authentic because of unsuitable half life of carbon.

Reply Patrick Yew,

This one is Buddha Narkprok "Por-Bo-Ro" backside is the King Rama 9th shortcut name and emblem, mould creator name Khun Sutan. Bless/chant by Luangpu Chob Tarnsmoh, WatPahkokmon Lei province. Also chanted by Luangpu Doo Prompunyo from WatSagae too. The batch made only 100 at total in b.e.2529-30, the mould took from WatDornsala.

Reply Michael,

To become a buddhist, you need to take refuge by the monk. Or you pray to Buddha.

Have a nice day :)
