Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Hello. I am a Thai living in Seattle. I am not used to post any message on a public forum but I would like to an an exception after visiting this great website. I felt quite amazed at this malaysian site because this is the first time I came across such a high quality website in English on amulets/pendants. Anyway, as I felt this traditional strong religious belief is slowly diminishing among our Thai younger generations (not to mention, many have turned as Christianity) which makes this website more appealing to many oldies like me. Once again, I would like to convey my sincere thankfulness to the creator of this artfully done website. Hope all goes well with you and your family (your daughter is very cute) and please continue with your fine works (I will also spread the words around back to some of my friends in Thailand). My email address is not a working account, please don't bother to reply this message (too many spammed mails). Have a good day

Greetings from Samoa. Just came across this site. I have been to Thailand a few times - great country, friendly people. I was given a pendant by a monk from a temple in Pattaya (at the hill top, couldn't recall the name). From the site, I can finally conclude it is called a "Nak Prok", thank you. P.s. Funny, it takes a Malaysian to create this site. I have been to Kuala Lumpur twice last year too, beautiful and very clean place (plus the magnificent KLCC Towers !), I like the food too (nasi kandar and nasi lamak).

Love from the South Pacific ! Good night. U.T.

Sorry, Madam: Here is the URL for the LP Pae image (Wondering why uncle Lim's page does not have this, instead, it locates at Wichien's Soomdet page 5): The front and back:

Hello, madam. I am from Malaysia. It is very nice to learn that you have been so thoughtful for your husband. LP Thuad is a good image and you are right in a way to point out where many of us believe the monk does not like to see the host gambles or go to hot nighty spots. S300-400 is a very flexible figure to consider a lot of options. Anyway, I think may be here is a personal suggestion from me: the shop owns by the "Uncle Lim" in this website has a very interesting Soomdet image (medal but quite small) that was made by LP Pae (old man told me that is Jacky Chan's Guru) which he has a batch which kept more than 15 years ago. Price ? Great value of money because it retails at approx. RM110-00 each. You can consider getting a few for all your family members and save the extra to make a gold casing specially for your hubby. That Uncle lim is a great "fan" of LP Pae and his contact is h/p: (603) 012-9128391 but since it is only retailing at RM110, it doesn't hurt anyone. Another consideration is the "Pitta" - which a lot of amulet users believe it is good for handling such purposes. I think Singapore also has quite a few amulet shops (I am not familiar) you can shop around and ask (please seek advice from any friend that has the experience) and try NOT to listen or lay too much trust to shop owner for their suggestions (sorry folks...).

I was referred by a friend and came to this web site. My reason being here is: My hubby works in a regional office of an international company from Japan. I know lately he is getting very upset over office politics. I thought of acquiring a "Long Por Thor ?" for him to wear but I heard that owner of this pendant cannot be going to night clubs all the times (sometimes, he has to entertain his Japanese bosses). Question: is it the right one for him ? Or is there any other better alternatives ? If there is anyone kind enough to provide an answer, please using the board to reply as this is my children e-mail address and I don't think it is working anymore - besides, I don't want them to get worry for their old man. I will come back to check to this site to see if there are any answers in a few days' time. Oh, by the way, I am from Singapore (around Katong) and please suggest something that is reasonably good and within a budget between S$300-400.00. Thank you.

Hello. I came in "accidentally" via a search for information on Chiangmai, Thailand. The pictures of the temples and all the cheng-cheng are absolutely beautiful. Are they for sale too ? (just ask). I have downloaded a few images from the download page section as wall paper for my computer (it mentioned "free download", right ?), the colours and clarity of the pictures are stunning (my wife thought so). Just want to relay a thank you note to the gentleman who develops this site. KK, Kowloon, HK.
