Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

Bro Hoon, I keep checking my mail but I didn't receive any mail from you. But that alright, just to ask have you receive my mail? I asked about the LP Parn Phra Somdej in my e-mail. :) Iz true to share the knowledge with the other who are interested. Just like some of my fellow christian friends in Kuching. Keep inviting friends to their church. This is just the same thing, share the knowledge that we have with them so they can feel the greatness and kindness of our Lord Buddha.

Maybe I got influenced by you and Leo. Of distributing some extra amulet to my friends who I think they need one in their career. I m planning to give an amulet to my sister's friend who is working to KL. At least the amulet would provide some kind of protection for him when he is alone. But i will keep the amulet that you send me as a remembrance. Hahaha...i think i will wear it as well. Thanks a lot. I will email you my address again. please reply my previous email regarding the LP Parn amulet.

Abang Albert,

I share Abang Kakaman's sentiment. If you giving your sister who is working away from home in KL, don't worry about Jimmy's interest in the Somdej WRK. Email me your address and if you don't mind authenmtic Somdej from other famous Gurus eg LP Pern (who passed away abt 3 years back) I have excess. I do have a few pcs extra of Somdej WRK and do not mind sending you one but would need to examine how many extra.

Albert, being in Sarawak, I half suspect that you might be out of the loop of present time famous Phra Ajahn. for starters, Somdej WRK after LP Toh's time Luang Phu Nah is much sought after too. Not many pieces in circulation. Famous Phra Ajahns who passed away in the last 10 years were LP Pae, LP Pern, LP Kasem, LP Uttama, but still living is LP Koon. These Phra Ajahns consecrated the amulets with good intent to help people - thus pan lots of metta. All these monks mentioned above had done dutong for a period of their monkhood thus overcoming many many mortal inhabitions. They are near Arhat.

My point is to suggest that there is no need to hanker after Somdej WRK whose price is driven out of original intent.

Metta

Chris, that is a good link. Especially the page on http://www.buddhanet.net/e-learning/history/mudras.htm
learnt something new which is good for fundamentals. THANKS.

Kok Tiong: the best person to ask is Stan Thong, he has a site on the temple. His email is StanSLThong@yahoo.com

Albert: who is not green in this area ? I am still learning by the day(s). I am very happy to have this local forum to bridge among us. Buying through the web is alright, as long as they are not expensive. Seller usually just SELLs and you should undertsand the nature of the trade. Just be careful. Dont play play ..
