Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. Power of amulets scientifically verified!!!

In the course of thousands of years, superstitious people have been carrying amulets and talismans with them in order to protect themselves from evil spirits.

Skeptics regard such objects as pure rubbish while true believers sincerely think that a tiny pebble or a piece of wood is really capable of protecting a person from evil spirits and bring luck. Recent scientific studies however proved the existence of amulet's power. The studies revealed that an amulet can really “work” in the hands of a true believer.

There exist myriad of spells, amulets, talismans and lucky charms in various cultures. Talismans are considered to be integral counterparts not only in Pagan cultures but in Christian cultures as well. Tattooed crosses, icons and parts of the Sacred Land are all talismans and amulets which are treasured with respect.

In Islam for instance, a picture of Fatima's hand (sister of the Prophet Muhammad) served as the protection charm. In Buddhism and Hinduism various objects tend to serve as amulets and talismans. In Judaism for instance, the famous David's cross (a six speared star) is the main talisman.

A group of scientists from the Hertfordshire University decided to test from a scientific stand point the overall effectiveness of various amulets. The research was conducted under the direction of psychology Professor Richard Weissman. As a result, scientists were able to conclude that talismans and amulets do in fact “work”, but only in the hands of true believers.

100 people participated in the experiment. Each one of them was given a penny of Victorian embossing. It is believed that this coin brings luck and helps in multiplying one's fortune. In the course of one month, volunteers had been marking the level of day's luck. As it turned out, about 30% of all the participants gained self confidence and calmness. More so, those people discovered that they had been luckier at work with their talismans than without them. They claim that their luck doubled after they started carrying the lucky penny.

People susceptible to different sorts of superstitions have all acknowledged talisman's magnificent qualities. Some skeptics however participating in the same experiment remarked no substantial changes in their luck.

Nonetheless, 70% of the same group of volunteers expressed their strong desire in continuing to carry the lucky penny with them at all times, just in case!

I was discussing with someone recently about amulets and was asked what I thought of "human corpse amulets". Although I don't collect them, what I do know is that many people collect them instead of buddha amulet and it'll be interesting to find out from bros that have barang amulets info on 1)the purpose of the barang, 2)the maker, 3) any cerita on your experience with the barang. I am quite interested to find out.

Untold Story bout TOK Raja

Hi, jus 1 2 add some UNREVEALED stories bout TOK RAJA. D purpose is jus to share my true experiences with other net readers. Esp bout Tok Raja's amulets ( pim 2505, 2500, Pidta pim 2498 with lotus script at the back/Lok Omm / Tongkat used by Akong b 4/ and the most rare item.....3 pair hands PhaGaWan Pahr Yant with special hand written yant and images by Tok,according to my grandfatther dis kind of Phar Yant, jus 10 pieces ever made by Tok Raja )

According to my grandfather ( Phor Mor Qeaw passed away in 1999 at age of 94 yrs old), THING / ELEMENTS dat make Tok Raja such a powerful monk was........Tok using his family's TAR JAI ( white tiger, monster snake, and white croc ) Tok feeds his UNSEEN guidances once a month.Normally they r feeded with special menu such as......egg, betel leaves, and KETOK ( Thai's word/language as BERTIH in Malay language )

Tok will invite all of his TarJai whenever/before any special ceremony or curing processes. Sometimes Tok will invite his TarJai to bless his amulets. After Tok hd blessed his amulets. Tok wil fistly TEST his amulets before give them away to d devotees.

My grandfather said dat.......Tok will put ( lying down instead of sitting position )his amulets on d special plate/perhaps altar and then keep chanting/PLUK SEAK non stop to enhance and AWAKE his amulets ( normally His Pidta or widely known as PhaGaWan by Tok himself ) Amazingly.....his powerful PhaGaWan will automatically JUMP !!!! BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL POSITION......sitting position !!

Untold Story Bout Tok Raja's LOK OMM

From various Tok pics/photo we hardly seen/discover Tok Raja pics with his SMILE face. Normally with t's fiery face and it look like Tok had MUMPS something in his mouth. My grandad said that.....it's because there's something in Tok's mouth ( under his tongue ) it's his Lok Omm. My granddad said, Tok advises his devotees to place d Lok Omm under one's tongue to make its more effective for proctection, self defense, and to get ride of our enemies.

It's hard to practise dis but after a few attempt we will succesfully place d Lok Omm without any problem although at d same time we r opening our mouth/talking ( not while taking d meals ! )

Story Bout Tok Raja Tongkat ( MAI THAOW )

Grandfather said that.....Tok uses 7 differ colour papers ( Buddha's Enlighment Colour ) to finish his Tongkat. Every pieces of paper hd been written down with 7 differ Khata/Yan/Khom/Magic Script.Tok also uses various kind of rare and precious material to finish his Tongkat such as 3/7 kind of needles ( gold, bronze, silver / gold, bronze, silver, steel, tin. Widely known as Naew Wak in Thais. Others are...... unprocess gold, Pith or Path Nar Thang ( kind of metal digged beneath the ground) ivory, one eye coconut shell, tiger authetics, special bamboo with no hollow space, special rare woods uses by Malay Bomoh( Kayu Kemuning Hitam or black wood, Sulur Bertam, Raja Kayu or red wood, Kayu Tas, Kayu Ralak Salak, etc )

My grandfather teaches me some of the Tok's Tongkat Khata.Jus a few !!!! There r different khata for differ occasion/purposes.
eg. khata for enchancing d tongkat, khata to discard d ghost / evil spirit, khatas for Khlew Khad and Kong Khapan, and various Khata for BOMOH purposes. He said Tok Raja advises him.....there's no absolute khata dat can be used for every occasion. Jus like d medicine nowadays.......we need differ medcine for differ sickness.
