Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. Dear Tok Raja & Ah Kong Supporters, I have received many request from Members of this Forum for more information about Wat Uttamaram, Tok Raja and Than Chau Khoon, Ah Kong. I hope the temporary website, with limited pictures, would be able to provide you with some idea as to how Wat Uttamaram looks like. I am currently trying to obtain more information with regards to the making of Tok Raja's Sacred Wand or in Malay is called "Tongkat Sakti"(sounds like one of the famous P.Ramlee Malay movies) and more pictures (old and new) of Wat Uttamaram to be maintained in MIR website in order for members to enjoy good quality pictures and miracle stories. By the way, the temple will be celebrating Kathina starting tomorrow evening(Oct 20) until Saturday(Oct 23). If you can make it, pls pop in and have a look else I will check with Bro.LeoFoo to see whether he can setup a movie in this website for everyone to watch the Kathina celebration of Wat Uttamaram. Enjoy... Metta, Bro. Stan Thong

I have 221 Buddha amulets which I have collected over many years. Some are fairly common, others much more rare. I have a 350 MB file with photos (front and back) of 185 of the total number. I can also send individual photos of the more rare ones if intereted. I intend to sell the entire collection together as a set. If we all lived by Buddha's teachings the world would indeed be paradise.

Update: Some of these very old/rare Buddhist amulets in Weerapong's site are for sale - due to recent flooding in Chiangmai which has caused his home badly damaged, and Weerapong intends to get a new home for his family at ab higher land location, I have suggested to him to sell some of his collection to raise some money as downpayment (at 53 - Commercial Banks sometimes can be very realistic on age group of borrowers.. He agreed and also listen to my advice - reasonably priced, offers Money back guaranteed terms. Some of the pieces current shown are his best collection, there are many which are not listed. If anyone of you wishes to have a good, old pieces for yourself and/or family members/ you can contact him via the phone numbers below.

Well, it is a matter of perception. Imagine, people who has devoted all their life to serve the Lord or seeking for self-disciplinary code (like a Buddhist Monk) should be given respect. Sex or leisure in night spots are things that go in opposite to disciplinary codes in Buddhist practice. For an example, when you are having sexual activities, do you think it is right to do it with a monk figure hanging between you and the "creature" under you ?

So, if you believe in the image you are using, he should be given equal level of respect too, right ? On the topic on whether it can go to the bathroom or toilets, I don't think it needs to go to such extend in a normal human behavior (I don't think this is the right word to use). So, depending on how much you put your faith to the figure that you think may provide you with the inner mental strength or as a form of protection, equally you have to respect his existence - simply because he is a disciplined Buddhist Figure (basically, you are tempting a devoted Buddhist figure with an activity that he practices all his life to withstand such kind of human temptation.

Hello, i would have one importent question: i've heard from one guy in Thailand (Lampang) that there are certain rules about wearing amulets. Could please anybody tell me these rules as i wear one amulet too (i've heard that we are not supposed to wear them during sex, in bathroom ... i try to look for the rules on internet but did not find anything ... and i don't want to break any rules). Thank you Jan, Czech Republic
