Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook |
Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.
As this site is specifically created for this purpose - so, please don't mail me other than constructive suggestions or rectifying mistakes found in this site, thanking you. Dear Care, If it is a complaint, I think it is not relevant. I can't translate all the messages for you but I can extract one phase where the host posted " Under the name of Buddhism, there is no territorial differences in political boundaries, races and even languages barrier...". I know many may not be able to read Mandarin but equally, there are many also may not be able to command English so well. So, it doesn't mean those who wishes to express an opinion in Chinese cannot be permitted to do so in this forum. Personally, I would like to see others such as from Hong Kong, Twaiwan and even Mainland China to come in to join into our message board.
Well, if any of you think this board should only be used by English based brothers, an alternate way is to ask Leonard to provide an all new Chinese forum to cater for Chinese based users. But Personally, I would like it to be shared. It is a COMMUNITY. Peace-man... by the way, aku also don't know Mandarin too well but sikit 2 saja...(Shy).1112. Dear Sir,
I'm a devoted buddhism. I'm presently worshipping Phra Phom in my Singapore home. We have placed the Phra Phom Buddha statue in our house balcony.
We are going to shift away from this house to a new place. But this new house does not have a balcony. Can we placed the Phra Phom buddha Statue inside the house. If yes, how. If no what should we do.
By the way I'm born in 1973 2nd of august. Pls advise any suitable amulet for myself.
Your advise to the above is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the photo on the Emerald Buddha (on your landmarks Asia section), this is perhaps the clearest picture that I have seen (don know how you get it), I have tried but the light was too dim inside and they don't allow people to take picture inside.1118. Site Progress Update: A series of very high quality images from Nothern Thailand added to Weerapong's pages http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/leofoo/Thai-amulets/weerapong/index6.htm 1119. Luang Phor Murk is one of the real disciple of TRaja. He is the uncle of Chau Khun Chan (Akong). He is the only disciple trusted by TRaja to write the phayant. He also made phra pidtas and parakits. It was told that a row of shops in Pasir Putih Kelantan was burnt down by fire except one at the centre. It was said that the owner kept a LP Murk parakit at the altar. LP Murk pidta is also very saksit. Please beware there are a lot of imitations. Metta Tony
