Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Hi bertdeen30,

Thank you for the compliment.
As long as it is a genuine Somdej it doesn't matter what the condition look like. At the end of the day, what is your purpose of collecting Somdej Toh amulets - for the interests as a collector or for re-sale. For re-sale, obviously you have to collect the best quality pims that has got the market value.

Every Somdej Toh pims has it's beauty and no two pims are the same. For me, I collect all type of quality and condition regardless of it's market value. Write to my e-mail and I will give you more info on my collection.

regards,

A Big Sadhu to Bro. Leonard for putting up such a wonderful message from Venerable Mahinda on the significance of Vesak (extracted from Buddhanet).

What will Buddha be telling us as we witnessed the disasters in Myanmar and China?

"It is only the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye." - Antoine De Saint-Exupery

How do we feel when we see all the news on Myanmar and China with hundreds of thousand people dead & injured? Do we feel indifferent, resentful and afraid? Can we imagine having ourselves in their place? Can we allow these disasters to soften us and motivate us to do something (whatever and however) to help to relieve their suffering? We always have the choice.

May the power of all Buddhas, the Dhamma and the Sangha, be with us always, guiding us in sailing through the sea of suffering (Samsara), armed with Dana(Charity), Sila(Morality) and Bhavana(Meditation), realising the Four Noble Truths and perfecting the Dasa Paramita(the Ten Perfections) and ultimately, leading us to Nibbana.

Happy Vesak...

With Metta ca Karuna
(Loving-kindness & Compassion),
Stan Thong
