Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. OM. Thang: That neclace was handmade by my friend Weerapong (Srivichai). The few coloured beads have their respective origin (as to their origin, referred back to that page at http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/leofoo/Thai-amulets/weerapong/index4.htm , I have translated it & he told me the raw stone are left few only). Actually I am askig him to make another one that can put three amulets but may take another few months.., even the polishing from stones to round beads is by hand at home). Anyway, I am not sure if he can do one (and how much would one of that cost). ) He can be contacted via Mr. Weerapong Srivichai® <weerapong_srivichai@yahoo.com> (Tel: +66(0)66569515 / +6694313989). He is still learning the internet, so, I am not sure if his email works (I opened for him in Chiangmai but we often communicate more via Phones). Call him when you are in Chiang Mai - I would say, if NOT for possible friend in the making, but GREAT local guide (also ask him to bring you to see another friend of mine (Tongkam) http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/leofoo/Thai-amulets/weerapong/index.htm

WHY ? (PRIVATE (haha..) superlative grade (but very worthy) of Myanmar gem stones that "got" in from the private miners across the border for private consumption, hehe... ...but Thai taste is a little different from Chinese.

Wow, great images of the new Chiang Mai and Burma additions as well as the insightful detail on "Lanna style" Buddhist blessing. In my opinion, this site sets the standard for other similar genre websites to emulate.

Dear Tok Raja and Ah Kong supporters, t last, the biography of Than Chau Khoon, famously known as Ah Kong is available at my personal website mentioned above. If you browse Raymond Goh's directory, he has one special amulet of Ah Kong with three(3) small Pidtas at the back:
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/leofoo/Thaiamulets/RockRaymond/TukRaja/index2.htm

Many Ah Kong devotees experienced great miracles wearing Ah Kong's amulets where many believe they possessed good powers of both Tok Raja and Ah Kong. The late Uncle Khoo did mentioned to me that when Ah Kong writes the Payan(sacred cloth) for devotees, he only used one drop of ink and it keeps on flowing out from the brush he use to write the Payan.

30.09.2005 Site Progress Update. A brief introduction on another Thai Wat with ancient lanna background located at Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. My friend, Weerapong brought me there during the recent trip. Good to pick up some info relating to "Lanna" as Chiangmai was once the capital of the ancient Lanna Kingdom.
