Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

Tammy: Probably you can make use of Yahoo pictures site such as Flickr to post some photos of your collection for others to take a view of it (them). These sites are free. http://www.flickr.com/

Books that inspired thinking via stories telling ia a good way for the youthful. I can recommend "Opening the Door of Your Heart" by Ajahn Brahm. An Australian Monk who was ordained at Wat Saket, Bangkok when he was 23 after graduation from University of Cambridge.

He is the current Abbot of Bodhinyana Monastery in Perth, Australia. He practices Forest Tradition of Theravada Buddhism. Basically, many small, short, warmth, humorous stories made up the content of the book. It is easy to read and understand BUT leaves you with a bagful of things to think about for weeks. P.S. Special thanks to JL for the gift/book as food for thought.

Another book "The Buddhist Saints of the Forest & the Cult of Amulets" by By Stanley Jeyaraja Tambiah (Published 1984 Cambridge University Press is quite an expensive copy retailed at approx. EU42 / USD 95-00 where the content is often discussed. But I can't find used copies on Ebay. Love to take a read and pass on to leo as a gift if I can get hold of one . haha ... because you should have one reference and see how the foreigners think (although it may not correct as it is a truly oriental culture).
