Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. Consider post your image via the free Yahoo Picture/photo services and provide us the URL. I am sure many other brothers here can also take a look and see if anyone can offer some help. What do you think ?

Hi everyone, I found your website from google while searching "Phra Nang Phaya". Right now I am trying to find out what exactly is my "Phra Somdej Nang Phaya" as my grandmother (passed away) called. The pictures and info on your website are very useful. I can make out that mine is Pongsuphan in red-clay colour. I will send you the images if you are interested to see and to confirm and help me to know more about my Nang Phaya.

With kind regards,
Patchara

Dear Brothers & Sisters in the Dharma, In case you are on holiday this coming WESAK DAY in PENANG, do pop-in to Wat Buppharam temple at Perak Road to celebrate the most important day in Buddhism, WESAK DAY or VESAK DAY.

You may browse the above Website for the WESAK itenary on 30 April 2007 (Wesak Eve), 1 May 2007 (Wesak Day) and 2 May 2007 (Wesak celebration continues).

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and peaceful WESAK.

May you be free from mental suffering.
May you be free from physical suffering.
May you be well and happy always.

Yours in the Dharma,
Stan Thong

Site Progress Update 20.04.2007:- With a little help from a monk at the temple, I have added another seven new found variations of the Wat Paknam images at the version hitory page:
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/leofoo/Thai-amulets/Wat-PakNam/WPN_version_history/index.htm

The page is getting very graphic intensive and may takes a while to download all the images, be patience.

NEXT, I will try to compile material for a visual journal on my recent visit to Wat Suthat Thepwararam as well as Wat Malamphram later. The trip to Chiangmai also was quite fruitful, I will add some very lovely images at Weerapong site when I have the spare time to do it. Enjoy.

Dear Jack,

Wat Inn is in Bangkok Banglamphu area whereas Wat Keschaiyo is in Angthong in Ayudhya Province. I would recommend Wat Keschaiyo becos you can also visit the historical sites and the Big Buddha in Wat Maha That in Ayudhya. Moreover, there is a gigantic LP To statue in Wat Keschaiyo, in front of it is a smaller LP To statue. About 10 years back, the smaller LP To statue was stolen put in a wooden crate then buried in the ground then cover with sand. The infamous deed came to light only after one of the 4 thieves went mad and surrendered himself to the Police is the stolen LP To statue went back to Wat Kes.

Have a great trip.

Dear Sir, I seem through it provided me with lots of information. However I do have a question that I would like to seek your help.

I do have a amulet that I would like you to help me see if you happen to know which temple made it. Do you think it would be possible if I send it to you verification?

Thank you Bryan
