Collection of my Thai Religious Amulets/Pendants - Message Board/Guestbook

Religious Thai Amulets are immensely popular among many Thai locals or even the Chinese that residing in South East Asia - probably most followers never have the chance to worship the religion and hopefully with the little image that we wear on the body can provide some form of relief. As I mentioned in the site, probably it takes a Thai to create such a high quality website features specifically on these lovely collective pendants. As I can never be claimed knowledgeable in this strong thai traditions but since I am a web developer in nature, I create this solely for personal consumption and hope to provide a linkage among all passionate collectors. Some of the opinion presented within the site was entirely personal and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. So, this forum is intended to provide a channel for all to make use of it to present your own individual views. Enjoy.

Hi Eric,

Most shops I know of in Singapore unfortunately are too concern with their own stuff and hence would take kindly to identifying your Phra Somdej. I would suggest putting a picture on the net for those of us who might have seem the amulet before and give you an opinion. You might also want to try the shop at Blk 531 Fook Hai Building. The guy running the shop is rather nice and very knowledgeable.

with metta

Wat Paknam has many series. Please state series and budget. Prices ranges from series (apply to all), condition. Personally, Roon Si (4th batch) worths it (value for $$ as long as it is genuine). But have to be careful, many many ...(fake) out there.

Dear fellow brothers and sisters,

Greetings from John, of KL, Malaysia. I have been following this site and forum for almost a year now - and IMHO, Mr. Leo Foo's site is the most informative ever site you can find on the subject of Thai Buddhism.

For brethens in Singapore, please take note. I will be driving to Singapore for a short holiday trip this weekend. From late 2 August to early 4 August (Saturday - Monday)
In my possession I have several gems (and I really mean gems) of votive amulets that I am thinking of renting out for those who may have the fate of having them in their possession.

They are:
1. Somdet Bangkhunprom (made by Somdet Buddhacharn Toh himself - found under Chedi). Year unknown. Condition: Perfect
2. Somdet Wat Plub (made by Somdet Sangkharat Sukkhaithuen himself, who is Somdet Buddhacharn Toh's most revered teacher) Year unknown. Condition: Perfect
3. Phra Pidtha Maha Ut (exact source is unknown, from Kharmir borders, Thai-Cambodia) Year - more than 100 years old, antique piece. Condition: Perfect and beautiful

Please be assured that these votive amulets are all genuine and are so rare now they are almost impossible to find even in Thailand. All offer prices will be considered but please be sincere and considerate in making your offer because like I said, these are really rare and highly seeked after collection.

I'm not a trader, I don't do business using holy objects and this is the first time I have offered to rent out my personal votive amulets. They are own precious collection obtained from a very trustable source.
The only reason why I'm considering renting out these amulets is because I want to start my own small business and I will need a considerable sum of capital.

You're most welcomed to email me at joeisaac@gmail.com for actual photos or call/text me at +6 016 6992299 (not sure if there's International Roaming in Singapore) if you are interested or even if you want to come out for a brief meet up/drink with me. I welcome you to verify the authenticity and the beauty of my above said votive amulets. Please understand that my time is limited though. :)

May the grace of Lord Buddha be with all of you.

Cheers,
John
