Modern Classic SLRs Series : |
The Nikon FM Series is the longest serving model and the popular 35mm mechanical SLR in the market. In a series of fine camera design and manufacturing, Nikon introduced the Nikon FM dating back to 1977 which remains until today with a series of variations and updates. As every individual photographer has his own personal style to express himself visually while at the same time, maintain his own photographic equipment in a very personal manner, This section allows you to share mutual knowledge & experience among all Nikon FM series camera users. Some of the opinion presented in this site was very personal I hate to see them affecting a decision regardless it is an acceptance or rejection any of the models within the series. So, here is a section dedicated to all of you where you may also present yours. I do hope it is beneficial to all of you. Enjoy.

The series e lenses are all AI/AIS compliant. Use it as you would any AI or AIS lens. The same holds true for any AF lenses excluding the 'G' series lenses. The series e lenses are all AIS lens.3. From : did (did1212@hotmail.com)

Troubleshooting MD-12: I recently had an issue with a stuck MD-12 and could not find enough information on the internet to solve it. Well I got some tips after extensive searching and figured I shall post the information for the benefit of other MD-12 users. When a MD-12 motor gets stuck and you are unable to resolve using the standard tricks (remove camera from drive, shoot, fix camera on to drive and switch the drive on), Short circuit the electrical contacts in the drive. Specifically, my drive came back to life when I short circuited the two pins closest to the shutter release. I am not sure whether this has any side effects, but when the contacts are short-circuited, the drive revs to life. Some times, it seems like the contacts may need cleaning and a quick wiping with a cotton bud dipped in alcohol may do the trick. Hope the information helps...6. From : Kéran (elegoet@wanadoo.fr)

I am in big trouble. Please help me. Any slightly idea is welcome: I have an adaptall 2 which gets jammed on the FM2n. It doesn't matter how much force I pushed it clockwise the adaptall stil not comes off? It only moves about 3 milimiters and that is it. The adaptall's meter coupling levers (mcl) seem not in the right position, because when I mount the tamron len all the mcls are not lined up. My tamron is 80-210mm F/3.8-4 which included a 2x teleconverter also.
Did I create this trouble when I mounted the adtaptall on?? Please tell me. Please!!. Ive been in Photography for only 3days.......
