The Canon T-90 System |

Modern
Classic SLRs Series : |
The Canon T-90 was the last model that uses FD-mount prior to the shift to the autofocus EF EOS system. It hardly lasted a year since its inception but what an impact it has created on the design of future SLR. Every inch a classic, despite after more than 15 years, this camera is still hard to replicate even by today's standard. It was also widely acclaimed as one of the true Classic camera of modern times. Here comes a common Message Board designed specifically for Canon T90 SLR model - this is especially useful when you realize ALL Canon FD mount SLRs have long been discontinued you may require a public forum for common support and sharing mutual knowledge or experience among many of you. This Site has proved to be quite popular and I am quite happy to see these effort was not wasted and special thanks to ALL the volunteered Site Maintainers of this Message Board. Enjoy.

I have a Canon 100 mm f4 Macro Lens with a 55 mm filter thread. Unfortunately, my Macro Ring Lite ML-2 will not fit on to it without an adapter. Does anyone know where I can by such an adapter, indeed even its reference number would be a help? Failing that, does anyone know of another way of attaching the flash?
Many thanks.

I have the dreaded 'EEE' problem. When I went digital 4+ years ago, I put the T-90 away because of the EEE problem. I can take shots but have to pull the batteries to rid the camera of the EEE message. I haven't seen any pics because I am currently on my first roll of film since bringing the T-90 back to life. The film advances and then after the EEE message comes on locking up the camera. Anybody have a simple solutions to this problem? Any assistance will be appreciated. Regards.4. Mugshot,
You are quite correct, however ---
I reiterate,
"George & Mugshot, I think you will find that regardless of what programme mode you set on the camera it will always remain at f8. Mickey"
I said nothing about exposure.

Mickey. A mirror lens has no iris, therefore the camera can't adjust it, the only way to get correct exposure is to put the camera on aperture priority ant let it select the shutter speed.6. From : Mickey Oberman (mickeyobe@rogers.com)

Hi there.. t90 shows EEE. My t90 have had this sickness for about 2-3 years, and I gave it up, BUT, today, after reading
this forum, it seems to work normal ??
Facts: When i pressed the shutter button, the picture was exposed correctly, film moved forwards( in a slow funny-sounding
way) and EEE occurs. Then i pulled out the batteries and inserted them again, and i was ready for a new picture.
It has now been stocked for about 3-6 months, WITHOUT batteries,
and now it seems to function normally. ( Like Manuel: I´ve done
nooothing !!)
Perhaps it´s a reset problem ? Like in Windows, the software "tilt"?
Maybe, if batteries are at a critical low point, the error occurs, but t90 can´t reset properly ??

You're right George The solid Cat. mirror lenses are like small reflector telescopes, and have a fixed aperture, so put your camera on f8 on aperture priority.

George,
I assume your "reflex" lens is a mirror or catadioptric lens and has only one aperture.
If so, I suggest setting the T90 to Program. It will then set the correct shutter speed for prevailing light conditions.
You could also set the camera to "Tv" and set the shutter speed you wish but you will not, in either case, be able to change the aperture.
