The Canon T-90 System

Modern Classic SLRs Series :
Canon T-90 - Message Board/Guestbook

The Canon T-90 was the last model that uses FD-mount prior to the shift to the autofocus EF EOS system. It hardly lasted a year since its inception but what an impact it has created on the design of future SLR. Every inch a classic, despite after more than 15 years, this camera is still hard to replicate even by today's standard. It was also widely acclaimed as one of the true Classic camera of modern times. Here comes a common Message Board designed specifically for Canon T90 SLR model - this is especially useful when you realize ALL Canon FD mount SLRs have long been discontinued you may require a public forum for common support and sharing mutual knowledge or experience among many of you. This Site has proved to be quite popular and I am quite happy to see these effort was not wasted and special thanks to ALL the volunteered Site Maintainers of this Message Board. Enjoy.

The respective Message Boards are some of the HARDEST hit section of the PIM site, if at any one time, the traffic is high - the table/content may take a while to load the data, just be patience. If it stalls, just click on the 'Reload' or 'Refresh' button on your browser menu once to re-attempt. Thank you.

flam, Is it possible that you accidentally pressed the spot metering button while in spot metering mode? That would cause the VF display to remain on for about 30 seconds. TomR

Flam - The T-90 VF info only stays on during the half press. You learn to count clicks and do fancy things with two fingers. :-) Ken

Terry - I would probably help if you told us what part of the world you're in. There's a great guy in Reno, Nevada whom many USA users have used. Ken

My beloved T-90 has developed the error message when ever to shutter button is pushed. Where can I safely send my camera for repair and at what cost? Thankyou.

A couple of us here are trying to work out some of the details in the production of the Canon 35mm f2.8 Tilt & Shift lens and would appreciate any serial numbers and build codes you might be able to provide us. You can post them here or email them direct to me. If your worried about giving out your serial numbers just us X's for the last number or if your really paranoid the last two! The serial number is found on the under side of the aperture ring (look from the rear) The build code (which may be rubbed off) is in black ink stamped on the rear of the mounting ring. THANKS for any help you can provide. Mark W.

FD300mm F4 - rattle... normal? I have noticed that my cherished FD300mm telephoto seems to have a slight rattle which I cannot be sure has not always been there. As far as I am aware the lens works ok (photos do not seem to exhibit any obvious exposure problems) but I noticed that if I gently shake it there is a light internal rattling near the camera end of the lens - I suspect it is near the diaphragm. Looking through the end of the lens the diaphragm blades appear to be undamaged. My FD75-210 zoom does not seem to make same noise... ideas? I have never dropped this lens.
