The Canon T-90 System |

Modern
Classic SLRs Series : |
The Canon T-90 was the last model that uses FD-mount prior to the shift to the autofocus EF EOS system. It hardly lasted a year since its inception but what an impact it has created on the design of future SLR. Every inch a classic, despite after more than 15 years, this camera is still hard to replicate even by today's standard. It was also widely acclaimed as one of the true Classic camera of modern times. Here comes a common Message Board designed specifically for Canon T90 SLR model - this is especially useful when you realize ALL Canon FD mount SLRs have long been discontinued you may require a public forum for common support and sharing mutual knowledge or experience among many of you. This Site has proved to be quite popular and I am quite happy to see these effort was not wasted and special thanks to ALL the volunteered Site Maintainers of this Message Board. Enjoy.

Could someone please tell me if the FDn-lenses are attachable to Canon T90. I've got the old FDn 24 mm/f 1.4 and some other lenses that I'm now using with Canon A-1.2. From : Gunnar Somby (somby@myrealbox.com)

Keith Jenkins asked about using studio flashes with the T90. Keith, I seem to remember reading something about the T90 using a different voltage than many studio flashes and that you may burn the circutry in you T90. I have been recommended the Wein Safe Sync adapter http://www.saundersphoto.com/html/body_wn_accss.htm I may have also have read that you can use Canons TTL Hot Shoe adapter with studio flashes, but do not know if this holds true. /gunnar3. I have recently discovered that a Polaroid back was made for the T90. Do you have any experience with this? /gunnar4. From : TomR (tomrdale@aol.com)

John Shepard, I was reflecting on your question and am not sure if I understand what problem you're having. Do you need the location of the DX contacts and the codes for the exposure count, or do you have those already and the T-90 isn't accepting the stickers' input. Let us know. TomR.5. Don, Run a search for "lens mount" or "loose lens mount". Tightening up the lens mount has been covered on this board, although I can't say how long ago. Good luck, Tom.7. From : Don (oneilski@aol.com)

Hi All, First time on board. New to the T90. Have one with a chipped view finder lens and a lens mount flange that is slightly loose. I can grip the lens and it moves slightly. It is the flange not the lens. Is there any one out there that knows of any parts availability. I would like to find someone that has had experience with a loose lens flange and was able to fix the problem or knows of a reasonable camera repairman that has a solution. Also, I would like to buy the viewfinder lens and replace it myself If one can be found. Regards,Do8. From : John Sheppard (john_sheppard@blueyonder.co.uk)

Help. Can someone advise, using Canon T90 with my film that I have loaded into plastic cassettes. I can set the ASA manually put how do you set the number of frames, I have even tried the DX coding stickers that you can use but I still find that I only get 24 ex out of a 36 ex length of film. Confusing or what? Any thoughts Cheers John

Just to wonder. My very bad toilet training made me to like some order so we can share information here. (Please erase this message too). Zum wohl. Doktor S, hundred feet down in dusty Montana10. Daniel, When I mount a 300TL to my A-1, I get a viewfinder reading of 60 F(lash) M(anual). I get the same readout regardless of the mode set on the 300TL and regardless of whether the A-1 is set to an AE mode or used in manual mode. When I first got a 300TL I was told that I should only expect to use it in manual mode with an A-1. Hope someone with an AE-1P can give more specific info. TomR.
