The Canon T-90 System

Modern Classic SLRs Series :
Canon T-90 - Message Board/Guestbook

The Canon T-90 was the last model that uses FD-mount prior to the shift to the autofocus EF EOS system. It hardly lasted a year since its inception but what an impact it has created on the design of future SLR. Every inch a classic, despite after more than 15 years, this camera is still hard to replicate even by today's standard. It was also widely acclaimed as one of the true Classic camera of modern times. Here comes a common Message Board designed specifically for Canon T90 SLR model - this is especially useful when you realize ALL Canon FD mount SLRs have long been discontinued you may require a public forum for common support and sharing mutual knowledge or experience among many of you. This Site has proved to be quite popular and I am quite happy to see these effort was not wasted and special thanks to ALL the volunteered Site Maintainers of this Message Board. Enjoy.

If it stalls, just click on the 'Reload' or 'Refresh' button on your browser menu once to re-attempt. Thank you.

Im having a problem focusing "infinity", I believe a grain of sand may have entered the focus ring.....Is there a manual describing the removal of the lens' exterior components?....I suppose all FD lens are about the same in this respect......Also, the rear window (view window) needs cleaning as well...(same cause)....Is there any repair manual available online for my T90 camera?....Thanks in advance....keep on clicking!!!

Flash query - let me be more specific this time! If using ATTL set on flash with Tv mode on camera set to, say 1/250th (e.g. suitable for some telephotos) - can I essentially choose ANY aperture MANUALLY on the lens and expect the flash to do the exposure control required?? Essentially I want a telephoto-suitable (e.g. fast shutter) TTL flash mode without it basing exposure on available light only (e.g. slow resulting speeds)

Anybody interested in a T-90 body for parts? Mine became an expensive paper weight when one of the "internal chips," for lack of a more precise way to define it, went for a six and the camera stopped functioning. It's most certainly moisture damage, i.e. humidity, as I work in Sri Lanka. I had the same problem in 1992, when this "chip" was still available via Canon, and had it repaired under warranty. But four years later, when problem recurred, Canon factory said sorry, no more parts. Body has been sitting in a zip-loc at my parents' house in NY ever since...

And that trick helps in the long run? I don't think so. It might help a few shots, but it's no substitute for a good CLA. The problem is often dirty and sticky magnets.

You can EASILY cure that sticking shutter in 10 seconds! - Remove lens and bring camera down sharply on base on carpeted floor. Be amazed.
