The Canon T-90 System

Modern Classic SLRs Series :
Canon T-90 - Message Board/Guestbook

The Canon T-90 was the last model that uses FD-mount prior to the shift to the autofocus EF EOS system. It hardly lasted a year since its inception but what an impact it has created on the design of future SLR. Every inch a classic, despite after more than 15 years, this camera is still hard to replicate even by today's standard. It was also widely acclaimed as one of the true Classic camera of modern times. Here comes a common Message Board designed specifically for Canon T90 SLR model - this is especially useful when you realize ALL Canon FD mount SLRs have long been discontinued you may require a public forum for common support and sharing mutual knowledge or experience among many of you. This Site has proved to be quite popular and I am quite happy to see these effort was not wasted and special thanks to ALL the volunteered Site Maintainers of this Message Board. Enjoy.

Thank you Mickey & Ken !! Yes, absolute right. The external shutter is for holding the camera during portrait photo. I miss a charge to buy it years ago, I will try in eBay. Thanks a lot !!

Max + Mickey - Mickey I think you did misunderstand. The vertical shutter button mod was one of the most common in the T90's day, along with the leader out and PC socket mods. It literally does fit right into the T3 socket, so that when you hold the camera in portrait orientation - prism to the side - the new shutter button falls right under your trigger finger. The Motor Drive MA for the A-1 also has a 2nd shutter button there. Most modern "battery grips" have a 2nd shutter button do, too. Max, they show up on eBay from time to time, and you might try calling Horizon Electronics in Union City California. Ken

Max, I have never heard of such a device. If you had a shutter release at the position of the remote socket how would you hold the camera? What would be its purpose? The present shutter release button is almost vertical. Perhaps I have misunderstood your question. If so would you please clarify your request. Mickey

I am looking for a "T90" book published by HOVE. If you have one for sale or know where I can get one please email me at dleons@msn.com. Since the days of virus', spyware, etc. are upon us please put the words "HOVE BOOK" on the subject line of your e-mail. This will flag your e-mail as legitimate for me. I no longer open e-mail that I do not recognize.

Do anybody know or have the external shutter button, that can be fixed to the position of the "remote control socket" of T90. That will becomes a vertical shutter button.
Please tell where can buy it, thanks a lot !!

Tom Chignell, Even if you could get the camera operational whenever you encounter your problem it would mean lost pictures and much annoyance and, ultimately, shelving a great camera. I think it is time for a qualified camera doctor to diagnose and cure whatever it is that ails your T90. After all, if you can't have faith that it will do what you want when you want what good is it? Mickey
