The Canon T-90 System |
|
Modern
Classic SLRs Series : |
The Canon T-90 was the last model that uses FD-mount prior to the shift to the autofocus EF EOS system. It hardly lasted a year since its inception but what an impact it has created on the design of future SLR. Every inch a classic, despite after more than 15 years, this camera is still hard to replicate even by today's standard. It was also widely acclaimed as one of the true Classic camera of modern times. Here comes a common Message Board designed specifically for Canon T90 SLR model - this is especially useful when you realize ALL Canon FD mount SLRs have long been discontinued you may require a public forum for common support and sharing mutual knowledge or experience among many of you. This Site has proved to be quite popular and I am quite happy to see these effort was not wasted and special thanks to ALL the volunteered Site Maintainers of this Message Board. Enjoy.

Seymour - I would try David Leung in Ilford (opposite Goodmayes station I seem to recall, I don't have their number to hand but they sometimes advertise in Practical Photography). They have a massive stock of T90 and Canon equipment including some of the more obscure stuff. The price of course reflects that rarity. Good hunting, Mark.3. From : karl (timmhk@surry.net)

happiness is getting your tank back from repair. Using it for a week. Having the same problem. Getting promised that it would be repaired the same day recieved. Paying shipping back to the facility that "repaired" it the first time. Waiting 2 weeks with no info and sending an email. Only to find that George at Crystal Camera Repair in Asheville, NC has had too much "walk in traffic from the hectic holiday" to live up to do warranty work. Damn....

Just thought you'd like to know that I had a chance to go back a number of threads and find the answer I was after regarding clearing the EEE. I tried the high ISO along with the rapid shutter. Seems to have done the trick. THANKS.5. From : mike (michaelg@marcusevansch.com)

Hello all,
I've just been given my father's T90 that I've had my eye on for a long while. He is tired of "fixing" it all the time. In his haste he nearly gave it away. I'm hoping to bring it back to life for continued pleasure. I don't know the exact history but to my knowledge the last scenario he encountered after having it repaired was this: After taking the picture the film won't advance and the message EEE appears. My apologies if this question has appeared before but I didn't have the time to search all the past threads. Is this salvageable or am I looking at a costly repair? Any advice or guidance is greatly appreciated.6. From : Tom S. (ctomscott@earthlink.net)

I lost the battery cover off of my 300TL flash about 3 months ago and have been unable to find a replacement anywhere. I would appreciate either a direct line on where I can find one, or failing that, I will fabricate a home made cover. Since I do not remember the configuration of the battery jumpers on the inside of the cover, I would be grateful to anyone who can either send me a photo, sketch or wiring diagram showing this detail.
Thanks,
Tom S.7. From : Seymour (seyley@blueyonder.co.uk)

Mickey: I was about to try Zak's miracle cure, when, after manually re-winding the film, I decided to try the shutter. guess what, back to normal. The world is a happier place now.
Thanks for your advice.10.
