The Canon T-90 System

Modern Classic SLRs Series :
Canon T-90 - Message Board/Guestbook

The Canon T-90 was the last model that uses FD-mount prior to the shift to the autofocus EF EOS system. It hardly lasted a year since its inception but what an impact it has created on the design of future SLR. Every inch a classic, despite after more than 15 years, this camera is still hard to replicate even by today's standard. It was also widely acclaimed as one of the true Classic camera of modern times. Here comes a common Message Board designed specifically for Canon T90 SLR model - this is especially useful when you realize ALL Canon FD mount SLRs have long been discontinued you may require a public forum for common support and sharing mutual knowledge or experience among many of you. This Site has proved to be quite popular and I am quite happy to see these effort was not wasted and special thanks to ALL the volunteered Site Maintainers of this Message Board. Enjoy.

The respective Message Boards are some of the HARDEST hit section of the PIM site, if at any one time, the traffic is high - the table/content may take a while to load the data, just be patience. If it stalls, just click on the 'Reload' or 'Refresh' button on your browser menu once to re-attempt. Thank you.

Patrick, The answer is 'Yes' and 'No'. We have been writing about this a few years ago (probably about 3), and maybe some other times. I shall try to look up the URL for you.

Hello A friend of mine has owned a Canon T90 since new but there is now a fault with the dedicated flashgun. The flashgun is the A-TTL300. Is it possible to use one of Canons later flashguns and if so would the TTL system work to its full level as compared to the original specification for the original gun ? I hope you are able to help resolve this problem. Thank you in anticipation for you help. Regards, Patrick Major.

I have problem with EEE/HELP syndrome on my camera. That syndrome occurs quite oftenly but only when I move or shake (gently just for test)the camera (never occurs while pressing the shutter button). It always recovered and work perfectly after I remove and reinstall batteries.

Does anybody has any comment on that? Do I need to send it to repairman? And does only CLA is enough or some spare part are needed to be replaced? Thanks, Medhi

I just got a used t90 from a guy named steve at The Camera Clinic in Spark, NV. He specializes in the camera, and knows pretty much all there is to know about them. He fixed it up for me. The prices vary from $200-400 but they all work the same. he has some auctions on ebay, and a web page.

Hello. I am in Brooklyn NY and am trying to find a camera repair place to work on the shutter of my Canon T-90 camera. Apparently the shutter magnets have a problem. Also, my Canon FD 300 flash does not fire, on camera or off. The pilot light no longer lights up, though the other indicator lights come on when pushed. Thank you, AlAsaad

I have a Canon G3 which we love(d).The telescoping lens was recently re-designed by a four year old speed sledder wanting to stop! It groans and moans tring to telescope or retract with help.Is it gone or could this be repaired? Canon is offering a refurbished G6 for $300 to upgrade (trade-in plus money). Any advice or referrals REALLY welcomed. Thanks all, Charlie in SF Bay area
