The Canon T-90 System

Modern Classic SLRs Series :
Canon T-90 - Message Board/Guestbook

The Canon T-90 was the last model that uses FD-mount prior to the shift to the autofocus EF EOS system. It hardly lasted a year since its inception but what an impact it has created on the design of future SLR. Every inch a classic, despite after more than 15 years, this camera is still hard to replicate even by today's standard. It was also widely acclaimed as one of the true Classic camera of modern times. Here comes a common Message Board designed specifically for Canon T90 SLR model - this is especially useful when you realize ALL Canon FD mount SLRs have long been discontinued you may require a public forum for common support and sharing mutual knowledge or experience among many of you. This Site has proved to be quite popular and I am quite happy to see these effort was not wasted and special thanks to ALL the volunteered Site Maintainers of this Message Board. Enjoy.

The respective Message Boards are some of the HARDEST hit section of the PIM site, if at any one time, the traffic is high - the table/content may take a while to load the data, just be patience. If it stalls, just click on the 'Reload' or 'Refresh' button on your browser menu once to re-attempt. Thank you.

Hello, I am wondering if I can use my Canon 380EX flash (from a Pro70) on my T-90? Thanks in advance!

Hi everybody. I own a 300TL and recently loss the little cover for the batteries. If anyone out there has a defective 300TL that has the cover for the batteries in good condition, I will be happy to buy it. Thanks

Tom - One of my T90s does this from time to time. I'm afraid I don't have an explanation, but usually it clears up if I turn the camera off and on 2 or 3 times. Make sure you exercise your T90 regularly. Ken

When I press shutter release instead of the camera taking a shot the triangle indicator for film winding mode flashes. It appears it can be reset by pressing the selector button but I still can't get a photo! Same thing works with timed shots. Any ideas?Tom

You're welcome Roopz. I agree the manual doesn't say much, but as long as the flash you're using doesn't require a PC cord to fire, which it doesn't sound like yours does, you should be ok using traditional non-dedicated flash techniques. But do consider investing in a 300TL flash sometime - it complete the T-90's potential. Ken

Hi all, Im rather new to this game so you will have to bear with me!!! Ive recently got in to the photography game and just last week bought myself a lovely T90. My father just gave me a totally unused Sunpak T24 Flash unit. It works fine (ie flashes when I take a shot!!!) but I wondered if you knew (as the manual is not very helpful in this) how to use the "X sync " feature with a non Canon Flash unit such as this! Sorry to appear so ignorant but one has to start somewhere! Thanks in anticipation!!

Richard, Several suggestions. Canon makes (made) Correction Lenses S in 10 dioptric powers. With the correct one you could remove your glasses. However, that is an annoyance. Instead of using the ball of your thumb try laying the inside edge of your thumb flat along the back and over the preview button. You may have to shift your grip slightly. It takes no practice and very little getting used to. Mickey
