The Canon T-90 System

Modern Classic SLRs Series :
Canon T-90 - Message Board/Guestbook

The Canon T-90 was the last model that uses FD-mount prior to the shift to the autofocus EF EOS system. It hardly lasted a year since its inception but what an impact it has created on the design of future SLR. Every inch a classic, despite after more than 15 years, this camera is still hard to replicate even by today's standard. It was also widely acclaimed as one of the true Classic camera of modern times. Here comes a common Message Board designed specifically for Canon T90 SLR model - this is especially useful when you realize ALL Canon FD mount SLRs have long been discontinued you may require a public forum for common support and sharing mutual knowledge or experience among many of you. This Site has proved to be quite popular and I am quite happy to see these effort was not wasted and special thanks to ALL the volunteered Site Maintainers of this Message Board. Enjoy.

The respective Message Boards are some of the HARDEST hit section of the PIM site, if at any one time, the traffic is high - the table/content may take a while to load the data, just be patience. If it stalls, just click on the 'Reload' or 'Refresh' button on your browser menu once to re-attempt. Thank you.

Erik,

I assume you are referring to the illumination of the LCD panel.
That light will go off on its own in a second or two.
However, if you do not want it to go on at all, open the panel on the right hand side of the camera. At the very top is a lever that controls the LCD and viewfinder illumination.
The lever swivels easily at the top not the bottom.

Mickey

Help --- I work with infrared and have just bought a canon T90. The IR film needs to be loaded in complete darkness - my camera has a light which lights up when the power button is switched on - can anyone help me with instructions how to switch this light off. THANK YOU.

Hello, does anyone happen to have parts from a damaged 60-T3 remote that they'd like to get rid of?? The mount that screws into the camera body on mine broke, so I just need another "male" head to tap into the body with. Maybe if someone out there has a remote switch where the switch itself has gone bad, we could make a deal??

thanks!

Erik

Matt,

Your problem is not at all unique. It has appeared very many times on this site.

If you really care, then take the time to browse through the site and I am sure you will find the solution to your dilemma.

Mickey

Syd.

I bought a T90 in very good condition some years ago and it's developed a very annoying and intermittent problem that appears to be connected with the film winding action. Sometimes I expose a frame and the LCD meter registers EEEEEEE and either removing the battery pack or pressing the battery check switch clears the error message and another frame can be exposed, but the error message then re-appears and the process is repeated. Sometimes the camera also fails to recognize the end of the roll and the manual rewind button needs to pressed. I've had the camera serviced twice by a professional company and they seem to know what they're doing, but they can't trace the problem. The problem also seems to include the continuous frame advance. The camera performs without any error when there is no film in it, by the way! Anybody had the same problem or suggestions?

I have tried sliding the switch. Upon further inspection I found the battery holder had once been broken and glued together. I'm assuming for the time being that that could be the culprit. I have yet to come across a camera store in which I could get a new part and test my theory(live in a small town). I feel a little foolish for not having seen the broken part before, honestly. Thank you for responding.

FD lens: COSINA 28-200mm 1:3.5-5.6 MC MACRO.
Do anybody know something about this lense, which I was offered to a low price. Is it worth using on T90
