The Canon T-90 System |
|
Modern
Classic SLRs Series : |
The Canon T-90 was the last model that uses FD-mount prior to the shift to the autofocus EF EOS system. It hardly lasted a year since its inception but what an impact it has created on the design of future SLR. Every inch a classic, despite after more than 15 years, this camera is still hard to replicate even by today's standard. It was also widely acclaimed as one of the true Classic camera of modern times. Here comes a common Message Board designed specifically for Canon T90 SLR model - this is especially useful when you realize ALL Canon FD mount SLRs have long been discontinued you may require a public forum for common support and sharing mutual knowledge or experience among many of you. This Site has proved to be quite popular and I am quite happy to see these effort was not wasted and special thanks to ALL the volunteered Site Maintainers of this Message Board. Enjoy.

T90 EYE CUPS - Hi all T90 users after a long look, I have at last managed to find a genuine eye cup for my beloved T90, new and in the canon packaging. And guess what! the guy has more, New, Second hand and an assortment of diopters as well. Now I live in the UK, I can email you with the details, if you get in touch with me (click on my name and my email address will appear).2. From : Bob Gibson (rgibson@sofast.net)

Bob, Glad to hear that the 420 worked out with the T-90. As for the 420's display I don't know much about the EOS setup, but assume that the EOS camera & lenses have a connection to match the flash's auto zoom to the lens in use. As the T-90 has no such connection the errant reading isn't surprising. Can the 420 zoom head be set manually? Also, does the 420 have a FEL function? I find it to be one of the nicer features of the T-90/300TL setup. If you need further info regarding the 420 zoom feature, you might try posing on the Pop Photo message board, probably in Gear Guide. TomR.4. From : Bob Gibson (rgibson@sofast.net)

Does anyone know if Beattie Interscreens made one for T90 ? If so are they still available retail? Is there a company website or distributor? Any info would help. Other than Ebay, any one selling Canon T90`s focus screens ? Any info would help . Thanks Kevin Brennan8. From : John (jmllal@spacestar.net)

I received the following e-mail from the Canon FD group: "I've got hold of a service manual for the T90. It's a canon original and is probably not affekted of a copyright as the former on Christian's site was. I uploaded it to my web server. The 8.5MB pdf can be found at http://www.stud.ntnu.no/~ketiljo/T90/T90_service_canon.pdf Some really usefull information here." I downloaded this and found a lot of good information and illustrations, plus a parts list. Thought I'd pass it along for all interested parties. John9. From : Dick Muse (rmuse@hsnp.com)

I am considering buying a T-90 Canon Camera and have read some printed articles on it, but would appreciate hearing from owners of the camera about its performance, etc.
