The Canon T-90 System |
|
Modern
Classic SLRs Series : |
The Canon T-90 was the last model that uses FD-mount prior to the shift to the autofocus EF EOS system. It hardly lasted a year since its inception but what an impact it has created on the design of future SLR. Every inch a classic, despite after more than 15 years, this camera is still hard to replicate even by today's standard. It was also widely acclaimed as one of the true Classic camera of modern times. Here comes a common Message Board designed specifically for Canon T90 SLR model - this is especially useful when you realize ALL Canon FD mount SLRs have long been discontinued you may require a public forum for common support and sharing mutual knowledge or experience among many of you. This Site has proved to be quite popular and I am quite happy to see these effort was not wasted and special thanks to ALL the volunteered Site Maintainers of this Message Board. Enjoy.

I have a T90, 300TL, and a few lenses for sale. Bought the body 10 years ago, and have accumulated accessories since. Had the complete CLA about a year ago. Blew through 5 rolls today on account of "the prom" of a good friend's daughter. Worked flawlessly. Guaranteed. Thanks, Tim. tkoroll@triad.rr.com2. From : Jacek (przeklad.NOSPAM@polbox.com)

Hi I want to remind people again that I have 12 years experience of repairing T90s and if you have any problems please get in touch. Some spares are no longer available but its rare they need them as shutters and circuits can be repaired.I would say that 90% of them can be repaired without needing to use spares.I am based in Staffordshire.Best of luck everyone. Manolis, Sorry not to respond to your e-mail sooner, but it got overlooked in the midst of the spam I receive. What you describe sounds like a normal response for the camera & flash. I'll run a check out on my equipment to see exactly what I get. Please bring this thread back to the message board for more info. The great thing about the board is that many of us can gain, and contribute, in an ongoing dialogue. Doing a shorthand summary of e-mail exchanges is likely to drop something that someone else might find helpful. TomR.5. From : Mickey Oberman (mickeyobe@internet.look.ca)

Chris, Re: T90 shutter. BROWSE back through these pages. A gentleman (I presume) from your sceptered isle has written a number of letters informing us of his ability to repair T90's and he probably has parts.6. From : Chris (chris@interdesigne.freeserve.co.uk)

Looking for spares! Got an A1 condition T90 (even got the original box, etc. etc. - what a sickner!) but the shutter has gone and need a new one. I'm UK based but the world's a small place I guess! If anybody has any ideas on where I can get one, I'd be grateful.7. From : Mickey Oberman (mickeyobe@internet.look.ca)

Sorry Joe, I am not living in Germany since a long long time, and cannot tell you where to find your eyecup. I live somewhere in rural Montana in a cool underground place with color TV only and high speed internet. And Pizza delivery on Saturdays. Look on the auction places and bid for one eyekopf. Or maybe just buy the EOS 1N eyecup as is recommended here once a month. My remarks about studio flash caution were pointed more to Herr Mark. Damage to flash circuits can be slow and not show up right away you know..., like the pitting on contact points in old cars like my Mercedes...Happy Freulich/Springtime, andr ,what's the weather like up top? I have a cannon T 90, but its shutter is jammed. When I press the button the viewfinder shows help.
Kindly advise.
